The Washington Independent:

During his first 45 days in office, President Obama has made several sharp departures from the foreign policies of the Bush administration that were shaped in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks. Obama has announced a timetable for staggered withdrawal from Iraq. He has ordered 17,000 additional troops to Afghanistan and engaged in a wide-ranging review of U.S. war aims. And he has begun exploring direct negotiations with the Iranian government.

Not just foreign policy, but also the bogeyman of heightened security threats -- remember when everyone was scurrying to the hardware stores for emergency supplies? What ever happened to those threats? It was the basis for the foreign policy.

Remember when John McCain said that he knew how to capture Usama bin Laden? That he had a has a "secret plan" that only he knew?

Has he revealed his plan to anyone yet? In the interest of national security I would have expected that McCain would have told the military where to locate Usama.

You know, with McCain being an America First kind of guy.

Could have just said that the GOP is at a loss for coherency.

President Obama understands that foreign policy does not mean that we dictate everything to all other countries around the world, we deal with them. It's time to reverse the image of the Ugly American that the Republicans resurrected so well.

The GOP is nothing but a pathetic bunch of old white men with nothing to contribute to the sucess or rebuilding of the country they destroy.

The GOP hasn't had a coherent critique for about 10 years. The only things they have ranted on about were gay marriage, gays in the military, abortion rights, lower taxes and Joe the Plumber.

John McCain chocking on his words when he claimed he knew about Foreign Policy, he knew how to win wars and he knew how to capture bin Laden. How the mighty have fallen.

I was outraged when McCain said he "knew how to capture bin Laden". If that were a fact, and he did nothing to follow through, he should NOT be in the Senate, let alone the White House.

However, I knew it was just a lie.

McCain might have fallen but the real power behind our forein policy is still AIPAC and they are very much in charge.

Love the photo of McCain under the caption "at a loss". pretty well sums up most of his whining since the campaign ended.

Now the new GOP talking point CNN and MSNBC have picked up on is that President Obama owns the economy and the American people are anxious.

Anxious for the republicans to acknowledge their role in their con spiracy to bring down America in preparation for their end of times scenario...

They cede foreign policy? WHAT foreign policy did Bush have other than bully policy? You are either with us or against us.

Sh ut U p republics

Well, CNN and Fox THINKS that if they tell us often enough that we are anxious, then we will become anxious.

Sorry, but those of us that fully support our President are not at all anxious. We know that it is gonna take time to straighten out the mess that the last 8 years led us into.

Anxious? I think not. Trusting? Certainly Patient? Absolutely.

The Republicans have not had an "coherent" thought or action for that matter since say the time of Lincolin!

The GOP is running on empty through and through. It is pathetic to watch them quack and sqwark. They have become nothing but noise; annoying noise.

Doesn't the GOP realize that their behaviour is what got us into this mess we're in right now. They have no solution to anything. All they do is whine.

If something happen once its a mistake if if happens a second time its intentional.

The GOP isn't just ceding foreign policy, they've thrown in the towel on the whole kit and caboodle. It's like a person losing at a game then throwing their hands up and saying "I don't want to play anymore".

I keep the newspaper out because I have to check the headline every couple of days to remind me who won the election in November. Why is this so hard to understand?
