GOP Rep: "Our Goal Is To Bring Down Approval Numbers" For Dems

GOP Rep. Patrick McHenry, a key player in helping craft the Republican message, has offered an unusually blunt description of the Republican strategy right now.

"We will lose on legislation. But we will win the message war every day, and every week, until November 2010," said Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., an outspoken conservative who has participated on the GOP message teams. "Our goal is to bring down approval numbers for [Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and for House Democrats. That will take repetition. This is a marathon, not a sprint."

I thought this was the only way Repubs could win anything..­.tear down the opposition. They have no worthwhile agenda for real America...­only the wealthy. Americans are getting it finally. Dems have finally become more assertive and should get a little more aggressive.

Right now Biden is getting the message out that middle/working class is supported by Dems, not Repubs like the GOP always told them, filled their heads. Dems are working on a message of their own, long-term, and it's about time. But it's not about tearing the opposition down as much as it is getting things done and establishing itself as the party of doers. Apparently it will take a little slapping around of a few Senators.

Rep. Patrick McHenry, your strategy is the same old GOP strategy that didn't work on November 4, 2008 and it is not going to work in the future. The American People will not fall for a Party that do not have any substance or ethics. MCHenry, if your Party want to move from a Regional, Fringed Party to a national party, you and the GOP will have to come to the table with some substance instead of child's play.

This guy is a real winner - doesn't accept emails - I wonder why?, is against bicycles as a way of helping traffic problems, pollution, and the environment, has ties to Countrywide sub-prime mortgage company, and had to be told to take down videos at his website of a trip to Iraq where he pointed out key landmarks, something that violated Operation Security. And to he// with trying to get this country back on track. All he can think of is taking down Democrats.

Every morning, MSNBC's Morning Joe Scarborough makes sure he does his part along with his cast of characters. He really belongs on Fox News with the rest of them. MSNBC has become a watering hole for republicants spewing their negative propaganda. I see more republicans on TV which would lead you to believe somebody is listening to their old, tired ideas.

Rep Ryan was on this morning talking about his plan for medicare. Why did't the repubs adopt this plan when they were in power?
