The Obamas joined Ted Kennedy on Sunday night for a star-studded celebration of his 77th-birthday at the Kennedy Center. Bill Cosby emceed the event and Obama took to the stage to greet the performers and lead a chorus of "Happy Birthday". While he was in the President's box, Obama let loose a bit more and showed some of his signature dance moves. Check out the video below and see a slideshow from the event here.

Wow. Obama's dancing is more like the
frantic flailings of an elderly nursing home
patient that has peed his pants. Lol!

I should know, I work at a nursing
center and I have seen people nearly
twice his age that can dance better. Ha ha.

He needs to stick to the clapping.

From one rhythmless black person to another..!!

I love the fact that i can relate even more to our President!!

Thank you! My beloved president cannot dance. Neither can I. In fact, my whole family can't. Guess that stereotype is just that. I am so amused by people that say he can dance. I love my prez...I mean LOVE him, but he cannot dance.

Nice to see Ted back in DC. Does this mean he is back at work in the Senate? I hope so!

He isn't really dancing, it's just snippets of him moving and talking to people. Uninspiring, IMHO.

Americans' short memories are fascinating. The Bush lifestyle in the White House is not THE prescribed Presidential Lifestyle. Folks could get mre context to improve their perspectives on THIS President's White House lifestyle by reading some history about how previous White House occupants conducted themselves.

Bush 43's tenure in the WhiteHouse was conservative, narrow-minded, and about as uncreative as possible. Like his Presidency, now that I think about it.

I completely agree with you, the Obama's are bringing back a sense of culture to the White House that simply hasn't been present in years. It's refreshing to see life in the D.C. area, it is the capitol of our nation after all, and art as well as culture should be an important aspect of the D.C. lifestyle so show the world that America does have it's own culture. I truly appreciate what the Obama's have brought to the scene thus far, a revival of the arts.

Obama can not dance and I am tired of all his worshippers
acting like he could compete with people that actually can.

If Obama was NOT the Pres. he would get laughed out of the club
looking as silly as he does!

Oh, honey, believe me, he's "got the moves" he chooses to hold back because of his position but, as a consumate admirer of men and very familiar with "their moves", he's got it!

Dancing and having parities is a stress release for the President. This guy has the entire world on his shoulders, day in and day out. He gets up at 5:30 A.M and goes to bed at 1:00 A.M. So if the President want to dance or have a party with friends and family, go for it! At least he's not cheating on his wife to release stress. I could recall that Bush always on vacation because he wasn't actually running things in the white house. So those who want to criticize, well go ahead, for this guy has done far more in two months than Bush 8 years. It is clear that regardless to what he will be doing, he will be scrunitize by the right and the corporate media. Now they are complaining that he doing too much. I do not recognise this country anymore, for we have become lazy and no incentive to improve our mind and soul. The President is forward looking and have a plan for us. So guess what? I trust this President to get us there!!

"So those who want to criticize, well go ahead, for this guy has done far more in two months than Bush 8 years. "

I'd modify that to say, '...has done far more GOOD in two months..."
