Afghan Envoy Lays Into U.S. For Failed Foreign Policies

Afghanistan's ambassador to the United States attacked Western governments fighting in and providing billions in aid to his country, saying that those who claim the international community is not winning the war against extremists there "should know that they never fully tried."

He is right of course . . . they never fully tried . . . instead of the bush, cheney, bliar illegal invasion of Iraq . . . Afghanistan should have been helped . . it should have been both miltary and through aid and development grants . . instead the military help was not sufficient nor was there really much effort put into development. For example, they could have devised ways for the Afghan farmers to wheen themselves off poppy growing and into other farming . . . the US, the UK, et al let Afghanistan down very badly.

That's rich. This guy lectures the West that they aren't doing enough to pull the backward cesspool that is Afghanistan out of the 8th century into the 21st. Meanwhile back home a journalist is sentenced to 20 years in prison for "blasphemy".
