Beck: People 'Pushed To The Wall' By 'Political Correctness' Launch Killing Sprees

On Tuesday, an Alabama man named Michael McLendon killed 10 people in a shooting spree before committing suicide in what has been called "the worst rampage in Alabama's history." Police are continuing to interview people who knew McLendon and his victims, but said today that "there's probably never going to be a motive" found.

I watched Glenn Beck have another one of his "Arthur Beale wannabe" moments the other night. It was quite the act, let me tell you! He turned on the water-works right on cue all the while wailing on and on about how it he was just like me, on my side, just us against the world and the jerks who would keep us down. It was all quite moving until, I realized, hey wait a minute, this guy just signed a multimillion dollar contract to spew nonsense. He is not like me at all. I have to cut back hours on my employees this week. Next month might come layoffs. I doubt this jerk ever had to do that.

Like any other idea, political correctness can be taken to an extreme but to imply that it warrants killing is irresponsible. I know the president has gone on record against the fairness doctrine but can't we at least reestablish the public interest requirement for anyone who uses the public airways? I voted for Obama and I know he is juggling more important issues but it would be reassuring if it was somewhere on his radar.

Arrest him and get him therapy before he does damage to those around him.

Glenn just whines and whines and whines. I've never seen men whine so much as he, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity & Rush Limbaugh do. Let's get some solutions guys instead of the constant whining.

So, In Glen Beck"s mind, because this guy couldn't run around calling Black people N**gers he became a mass murderer. Give it up Glen, you will never be allowed to call the President a N**ger. So, quit with the warnings.

That's what I thought, too. Beck is saying that because people are now expected to behave decently to all other people, they go psycho and start the killing. Whoa. Just whoa.

I must admit I have never watched either of these talking robots and in reading the post, I have to say I am better off for it. Trying to analyze the motivations of spree killers is outside of their expertise (not even sure if they have one) and a waste of time. The sheer number of possibilities preclude anything more than speculation. It is just exploitative, which of course fit in nicely with this media (no news is good news) corporation's philosophy, Fair and Balanced. Fair is of course interpreted to mean beneficial to our politics and balanced is of course our bottom line.
Killers kill for reasons known only to them, it is improbable we will ever understand their motivations and impossible for robotic commentators to diagnose them between commercials for adult diapers and air fresheners.

P.S. Frankly, I'd rather listen to Rush; at least he has the strength of his convictions. Beck is so humorless and desperate to be taken seriously that I'm embarrassed for him. He just doesn't seem to be in on the joke.
