Stephen E. Quick, Samantha Light Accused Of Taping Themselves Having Sex With Children

VEEDERSBURG, Ind. — A couple who ran a baby-sitting service out of their home videotaped themselves performing sex acts with children, some as young as 2 months old, police said Friday.

Stephen E. Quick, 31, and Samantha Light, 25, both of Veedersburg in western Indiana, were being held on $100,000 bond in Fountain County Jail. Both faced preliminary charges of child molestation and child exploitation. Jail staff did not know whether either one had an attorney.

Police who searched the couple's home found a videotape depicting sex acts involving Quick and Light and at least four different children between the ages of 2 months and 6 years old, said Fountain County Sheriff's Deputy Bob Kemp.

"In 15 years of doing this job, it's the worst thing I've ever seen or imagined," he told WRTV. "Just horrible, just horrible It's a new low."

Police searched the couple's home after the parents of a 3-year-old girl reported that she told them Quick and Light had touched her inappropriately and photographed her at their home on Feb. 28.

Deputies seized several computers, cameras, a video camera, pornographic materials, drugs and drug paraphernalia. Several sex toys that appeared in the video were seized during a second search, police said.

Quick and Light were arrested March 5. Neither has a criminal history.

Authorities have removed the couple's daughter from their home.

Fact-People who don't completely background and foreground and underground check who is watching their kids are rolling the dice. Keep your kids away from anyone you haven't known for at least a year, couples who run babysitting services, priests and Michael Jackson.

the families did know this woman for years....They just didn't know this "person" who also had access to the children.

I suppose even if you do trust your babysitter, you also have to be vigilant about who else is in the home and has access to the children- or in this case influence over the "trusted adult".

These people are sick and they have probably already abused each other, their child, their customers children, both infants and youngster as young as 6 years old. A 3 year old told about the abuse, so as far as society is concerned, they are dangerous pedaphiles and need to be jailed or institutionalized. Perhaps the abused woman was forced into to participating in these acts but if she did not want to do it she would have found a way to resist eventually, like turning on the guy and injuring him, then calling the police, or just calling the police period!!!!

Rob... actually it appears that Stephen Quick's father was a man named Stephen Presslor who was repeatedly charged with child molestation (and released back into society after serving only 4 years in prison 2 times)..... If he had access to his own son (this guy) then it's likely that this guy was abused the same way and is just "following the family tradition" (to quote Hank Jr. there). NO EXCUSES for either the man or the woman here....

A woman's main job is to protect the children - her own and others- if she doesn't do that I have no sympathy for her.

Yes... we should keep them in jail for longer than just 4 years for each offense. In Indiana, it appears that this person's father was named "Stephen Presslor" who served 2 qty 4-year prison terms (sentenced to 8 as Class C Misdemeanor in IN, but only serve 4 in Indiana for good behavior).... for child molestation. This person changed his name to Stephen Quick when he was released from prison and this guy is apparently his son.

I don't know whether this would qualify as a Class B Misdemeanor somehow, but if it doesn't, the maximum they would serve is 4 years for each count- even if this small-town prosecutor handles the case completely competently.
