Wrong again. There are new rules to the fundraising game and he made them. People will go bankrupt to stop Washington Thieves from stealing our families futures.

I'm pleased with the President job so far. He has done far greater in 2 months, than Bush 8 years. Bravo Mr. President, for we must not let the FEAR, SMEAR and HATE party succeed. I'm giving to my party and who don't like it, well, you can kiss my fat @ss!!

Donating to our own cause is a good investment into our own future. The only chance of this country having a future (good) is with Obama. Who else has ever shown the brillance and empathy towrds the working stoops like us. Pres Obama has accomplished more in a couple short months in our behalf than anyone else would ever dream about doing. We need to keep it up! Just possibly in a few years we will have healthcare for all, financial regulation and accountability, a middleclass to build upon again and much more. He is the "peoples President" and a neighborhood kind a guy.

Donor fatigue, one person to blame for that.

Lets just call him the chief of Staff, the one who despises the Democratic Party base, one that has tried SO HARD to block Obama from reaching out.

Until I see ONE SOLITARY isntance of Rahm reaching out the parties base, I have a hard time donating.
I knew that my donations pre nov 4 to the DNC and Obama were being used wisely and for grass roots movements.

But after what happened at the DNC between 1998 and 2004, I am hesitant that it will repeat itself this year.
Give us a little hope, and our wallets will open, it's as simple as that.

I seem to recall similar dire predictions that Obama would not raise any more money because he voted for FISA. "It's all over! The base will not give him any more money. Blah, blah, blah."

That was right before he raised $150 million in one month.

The precentage of people who care about Rahm and DNC/Dean politics is miniscule. I know you think otherwise but you can't judge anything by the same 20 people who keep posting about it here on this blog.

Why bring Dean into this? What is your obsession with Dean?

Ask and we will give. Ask and we will come: with letters, petitions or whatever it takes to ensure the country does not lose its stamina or its will to be behind you (Pres Obama) as you work to get us out of the "Bushes" created by 'Dummya' and the Repugnants.

We don't have "donor fatigue" , we're just broke. But even that wont stop many of us from throwing $ 5.00 his way. I'm sure he wouldn't be asking for it , if he didn't really need it.

;p

I donated during the campaign, incl. to Al Franken and I don't even live in Minn., and the various groups still send me a steady barrage of emails, trying to keep the outrage going and the interest high and asking for "just $5" to help out. I cannot afford all those "$5s", I'd be broke, I just delete them. I cannot make it a 365 way of life, sorry.

Don't worry about it. I will keep you in mind when I donate. I usually donate the $25. I will donate $30. That extra $5 will be from you. But you have to vote for Obama in 2012. There's always strings attached. LOL

When and where can I kick in? I'll be happy to do it all over again. No amount is too big or too small. The investment is well worth it.

As a small donor, I agree. There is so much the DNC needs to do. Franken needs to be seated, Health care needs to be passed, the Bush/Cheney administration needs to be investigated, ect... the list goes on and on.

Goodbye you are banished to Politico and The Daily Beast where your pessimism belongs.

The President has been in office for just shy of two months and you sound like he is supposed to have fulfilled all his promises--more republican talking points. Get a freak.ing grip.

Did you demand the dictator GWBush tell you what happened to the TARP money that was dispensed under his watch? That is what the President is dealing with now more mess from the dictator Bush.

Somebody else will make up for you not giving money. I believe if the President told us everything he knows--like how close we came to a financial China Syndrome--we would never regain any confidence in the system.

Get it now?

This is a mistake for Obama. He cannot afford to appear as though the DNC is more important than the USA. The AIG story that broke of the weekend is going to make or break him and if he is planning on walking away from that to ask for money for politics, he is done. His agenda is done.

Sure. Obama spending an hour at a fundraiser is going to enrage voters so much that the forget about all of the bills he's passed, the stimulus, the foreclosure measures, etc.

Suddenly, the people who say "he's trying to do too much" are going to declare that he's neglecting the USA because he raises money for Democrats?

You = joke.

fortunately, all we have to do is watch the news and listen to the talking heads to see how they (GOP and media) handle this information. I'll be right here when you are ready to apologize.

One other thing: stop with the hyperbolic language. "The AIG story is going to make or break him." Puhleeze.

Obama's presidency is going to be determined by the fact that some company paid $165 million in bonuses and Obama had NO HAND in that whatsoever?

You chicken little folks are just too much.

Yvonne....get your ostrich like view correct. All the GOP and the media are waiting for is the pebble with which to start the landslide. Politics is something for which the citizenry (FINALLY) has little patience about. In case you haven't noticed, they (GOP and media) are trying to make a case that he should not be spending any time on issues like climate change and medicare reform -- all because his time is needed 100% for the economy. I personally think it is ridiculous but it is true nonetheless. They will feast on this tidbit of information and try to destroy him with it. People like you will scratch your heads and your butts wondering how everything changed so fast.
