Paul Rudd And Jason Segel Make Bad Puns And Fart Sounds For Four Minutes And It's Hilarious (VIDEO)

Huffington Post   |  Alex Leo   |   March 17, 2009 05:24 PM

I Like ItI Don’t Like It

National Lampoon's Matt Zaller sat down with the stars of "I Love You Man," ostensibly to talk about the movie, but it never quite got that far.

After two minutes of fart sounds and posterior jokes, they moved on to making bad puns using the word 'bro' a la 'bromance.' These include Brosie O'Donnell, Mighty Bro Young, and brocery store.

It's all ridiculous and amazing, and Paul Rudd is adorable as usual.

Well, interesting, it's so easy for this two jerks to make fun of gay people, but for a gay guy like me, this is ignorant, period!

This is just two guys losing it at the end of a 12 hour press junket. It was probably like their 20th interview of the day.
I definitely chuckled.

Am I the only one who thought this was about as funny as watching a couple of drunk frat boys?

As someone who has seen this movie I will say this: I Love You, Man is HILARIOUS

Probably better than almost all the Apatow movies (which this is not)

The commercials really don't do it justice... once word of mouth really hits up people are going to be flocking to this movie

I had that distinct impression too. You hear one of them cough at one point? I don't know about you but that said "bong hit" to me.

Somewhere in the last year i read a thing about those "laughing clubs" and it said in passing that kindergardners laugh on an average three hundred times a day, but grownups only laugh like fifteen times a day. I thought about it and finally realized it's about farts and scwelchy noises, isn't it? Civilized people don't laugh about body noises after a certain age.

The beauty part is that it doesn't really matter what you laugh about. When one person begins to laugh it is infectious. Good for you too. My abs hurt after watching this. (But the anti-gay joke made me "uncomfortable" heh) Nothing like being "naughty", eh?

Zaller looks like he'd rather be ANYWHERE else.
(And, by the way? Farts? ALWAYS funny.)

"Rudd and Segel lose it"(?)
They never had it to begin with.
The movie looks like nothing and the piece is about nothing.

The following appeared in U.S. News & World Report's "Washington Whispers" column under the subhead, "Animal House in Washington":

"He loves to cuss, gets a jolly when a mountain biker wipes out trying to keep up with him, and now we're learning that the first frat boy loves flatulence jokes..."

-- Bob Woodward reports in his new book, State of Denial, that President Bush loves to swap f@rt jokes with Karl Rove.

-- In Kitty Kelley's book The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty, New Yorker writer Brendan Gill was once a guest of George H.W. and Barbara Bush at their summer house in Kennebunkport, Maine. Stumbling through the place late at night in search of something to read, the only volume he could find was "The F@rt Book".

That is because you are a true American. I believe the right to laugh at farts is enshrined by our forefathers in the Declaration of Incontinence and anyone who doesn't like it can hope on their train to France or Russia or wherever the elitists suffer in their bloated silence these days.
