He's best doing offbeat things like Adaptation and The Weather Man.

But Sean Penn once said Cage has tendency to sell himself out to stupid worthless projects and throw himself out the window as a serious actor.

Guess he has a big nut to cover each month.

My favorite Nicholas Cage moment actually occurred on The Howard Stern Show.
Howmus was asking Cage about his fascination with Elvis memorabilia and his own personal collection.
The subject turned quite naturally to his recent marriage to Lisa Marie.
Stern deftly turned back to Cage's penchant for collecting...there was an odd silence, then Cage sputtered,
"No Howard, I DID NOT 'COLLECT' THE DAUGHTER!!!"

I wonder if that answers the question about his nut.
