Governors Race Whitman

Fortune Magazine:

(Fortune Magazine) -- It's been barely a month since Meg Whitman declared that she was running for governor of California, and the skewers are already out. The state's press has cast her as a political novice. Late-night comics are loving this notion of eBay's former CEO in charge of America's largest state. "Well, that makes sense," said Jay Leno. "I mean, the state's broke. If we're going to start selling stuff, who better to be governor than the head of eBay?"

Many businesspeople, as well as most of her friends, think she's crazy to want to be governor at a time of crisis. Yahoo (YHOO, Fortune 500) CEO Carol Bartz says that when Whitman recently came to her office seeking support, "I asked her, 'Why in the world would you want to do this?' I probably asked her that question 10 different ways."

The great liberal utopia of Mexifornia is an abject failure. You cannot continue to tax the productive and reward the unproductive indefinitely. I have homes in Las Vegas and the Utah mountains ( no I am not a Mormon) and all the people who have moved around me in both places in the last 10 years are refugees from California. All are retired cops, firemen, professionals and business owners who are fleeing the high taxes and crime. Continue down your current path and you libs will not have anyone left to tax.

Meg Whitman wants Mormon Mitt Romney elected President in 2012 which is why she is running for governor of California.

If you think Reagan and Bush, Jr. were bad, just wait until a man worth hundreds of millions, with offshore accounts where he hides his money, and thinks his God comes from the planet Kolob, gets elected.

If she runs Ca like she ran ebay then you can expect to be required to pay your state taxes with paypal. The sad state of affairs at ebay is directly related to her poor performance. If ebay is any indication, the scammers would be allowed more freedom after she is elected, that would be touted as a 'rise in the state economy'.

I stopped Shopping from Anyone that exclusively used PayPal. I KNOW others did too.
I wouldn't hire her to work a fast food joint, let alone give her Any authority to "rule" the people.
I pray Californians "Just Say NO"!

It's going to be a lot of fun watching her self-destruct.

Her politics are tuned to the go-go bubble that made her rich.

I'm sorry, but I think I'm missing something here. Was the Governator not trying to run California on a more business-like footing?

Sorry Whitman: you're about 4 election cycles behind on this premise.
