Obama Plans Sweeping New Regulations Of Executive Pay

New York Times:

The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a sweeping plan to overhaul financial regulation, government officials said.

The outlines of the plan are expected to be unveiled this week in preparation for President Obama's first foreign summit meeting in early April.

This is not a Wall Street, financial services problem. A cap on executive pay should be mandated on all publicly held companies.

I just found out at paywatch.org that it would take me 545 years to make as much as my CEO made last year! This means that he makes more before noon on January 1 than I do in an entire year!

This is an outrage, and the BOD's of these publicly held companies must begin to serve the interests of their shareholders and the folks in the company that do the really work!

Pre payment penalties
Truth-in-Lending violations

People should be protected from these bad lending policies. If your credit is bad and you don't qualify for a home loan, you should not have one. Banks have to stop being unfair and steering people in red lined communities toward loans they are over qualified for or cro oked bankers will continue to ream us all. This is not a partisan issue. Its a consumer protection issue. I don't know what everybody's fighting about but tr0lls will find any reason to be sociopathic on the intarwebz as usual.
