Fox News Chyron Mislabels Dem Strategist As Bush Staffer

Via Media Matters, here's a chyron from this morning's Fox News broadcast, misidentifying Democratic strategist Michael Brown as the incompetent horse breeder of the same name that the Bush administration put in charge of FEMA.

In an environment where so many competent people in the research and production tiers of media are getting laid off and replaced by interns, if at all, this sort of thing is bound to happen more often. Especially when they are buying Glenn Beck his Doom Rooms and whatnot. Anyway, let the countdown to the first "heckuva job" joke in the comments commence!

As a former researcher and fact-checker, I'm certain that this was a mistake......which still doesn't make it okay. It means that Fox is so busy pushing their agenda and mixing hallucinogens for Glenn Back that they can't really be bothered to make sure their "news" is accurate. Agenda over accuracy once again. When is the FCC ever going to get these networks in line and tell them that they're losing their broadcast licenses unless they stop labeling their commentary as "news"?
