Eviction Begins! Isaiah Washington Owes $100,000

LOS ANGELES — Isaiah Washington's landlord has started an eviction procedure against the former "Grey's Anatomy" star, claiming he owes $100,000 in rent.

Documents filed in Santa Monica, Calif., on Tuesday claim that Washington and his wife have fallen behind on their $20,000 a month payments on a home in the Venice area of Los Angeles.

The complaint filed by Sandalwood Properties states the Washingtons have not paid rent since November.

A phone message left with Washington's agent was not immediately returned.

The 45-year-old actor lost his role on "Grey's Anatomy" in 2007 after using an anti-gay slur at the Golden Globe Awards. He has since appeared in a handful of episodes in other TV series.

Amazing! That pigmentally challenged people can continue to have the audacity to tell individuals of a darker hue what to think or feel absolutely amazes me. Race exists. It is a factor. Accept it. Accept that less pigmentation affords a level of privilege and forgiveness in this country that diminishes as pigmentation increases. Don't like the fact? Too bad. Amazing how many people are happy to see this man destroyed but they don't really know what happened. He was the best part of Greys and I don't watch it anymore. It was hard enough for him to get jobs being a dark skinned black man before he made it to Greys so I can only imagine how TR, Patrick and Katherine's complaints helped to further destroy what little career he had left. Nobody would want to touch him after that fiasco. Hope he can get on his feet soon. He made a mistake, he didn't detroy anybody's life yet his has been decimated.

In the Outerbanks (OBX), NC beachfront houses (in season) rent for $15,000 a week! They're like mini resorts with saunas, in-ground pools, gourmet kitchens, theaters etc. and sleep up to 20 adults.

I don't believe his comment made any "excuses" for this particular "behavior", the point was the inequity involving forgivenes­s/redempti­on.

Case-in-point: Don Imus' comment about the Rutger's Woman's Basketball team had him back on-air with a new multi-million contract within 7 months!?!

I stopped watching Greys after he was fired, they destroyed the chemistry of the cast and then decided to focus on whiney TR Knight and the big-mouthed ingrate, Katherine Hiegl. As far as I'm concerned, the show now sucks.
