"Our Choice": Al Gore's New Book Follows On "Inconvenient Truth"

Former Vice President and climate crisis crusader Al Gore will release a new book in March called Our Choice, which will lay out a "blueprint" for solving the climate crisis, according to a press release from the book's publisher.

"Now that the need for urgent action is even clearer with the alarming new findings of the last three years, it is time for a comprehensive global plan that actually solves the climate crisis. Our Choice will answer that call," the release says.

Our Choice is a follow up to Gore's last book, An Inconvenient Truth.

EMMAUS, PA, and NEW YORK, NY, March 24, 2009--Today Vice President Gore announced that his next book, Our Choice, will be published by Rodale in the US and by other publishers internationally on November 3, 2009. Picking up where An Inconvenient Truth left off, Our Choice utilizes Mr. Gore's forty years of experience as a student, policymaker, author, filmmaker, entrepreneur and activist to comprehensively describe the real solutions to global warming. Since the publication of the New York Times bestseller An Inconvenient Truth and the release of the Academy Award® winning film of the same title, Mr. Gore has led more than thirty "Solutions Summits" with top scientists, engineers and policy experts to examine every solution to the climate crisis in depth and detail.  Our Choice draws on conclusions developed through those summits as well as on extensive independent research, describing how the bold choices necessary to save the earth's climate should also be the foundations of policies worldwide to create new jobs and stimulate sustainable economic progress.

As they did with An Inconvenient Truth, former Vice President Gore and Mrs. Tipper Gore will donate 100% of the proceeds of the book to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a non-profit, non-partisan group dedicated to spreading awareness about the climate crisis and how to solve it. Our Choice will feature 100% recycled paper, locally produced and sourced editions, low VOC inks, and will be carbon neutral.

I have a great name for Gore`s book: Do As I Say, Not As I Do!


Today, to cover all their bases, Al Gore, his alarmists and the mainstream media is changing it`s terminology from "global warming" to "climate change" or "climate catastrophe." That way they're covered either way, if the planet gets colder, global warming is still at fault. Global warming is a theory at best and its proponents are tax-seeking and lifestyle-­controllin­g extremists, all the while, sometimes displaying their own hypocrisy and arrogance (Gore ring a bell). Global warming alarmists treat people as if they’re naive, uninformed, and confused. Communists treated people in a similar manner. It’s not about climate change, it’s about a mechanism to control and manipulate. And with boat loads of very bad wealth-red­istributio­n “climate change” legislation to emerge in the coming years, a sympathetically scared media and populace remain essential during that time, in order to keep the scam alive. Since energy, predominately fossil fuel, is the lifeblood our economy, industries across the board would be hit hard with higher energy costs, and they will pass that cost onto us, skyrocketing our energy bills, and prices as well. For the sake of every American who’s an energy consumer, and that’s all of us, don`t let these scammers tax us into submission. I`m all for clean air, water, and land, but the global warming "hype" is exactly that, hype, to sell products and policies, just follow the money.

And as long you are 'following the money', you need to understand that oil companies will lose money if they are forced to clean up their act. Or pass the cvost on to consumers. Either way it is not coming out of their pocket. But if you have solar or wind power, you don't have to pay them at all!
Or you can stick your head in the sand, and rationalize doing nothing by attacking Al Gore, and anybody else who thinks we have a problem with global warming. Make it personal, its the conservative way!
I find it interesting how your 'follow the money' scheme fails to consider the COST of cleaning up the environment, and also fails to note the record profits oil companies have been making. I suppose by your way of thinking as long it is oil companies profiting its business, but if anyone makes ANY money is some other way, it is a liberal plot. Nice double standard....

Dissing Al Gore is simply a distraction from facing the facts backed up by very real scientific data coming in from all over the world concerning the very real effects of global warming that are already occurring.

Ask the folks in Bangladesh whether sea levels aren't actually rising. Ask the Chinese who depend on the Himalayan snow pack for water, whether that snow pack isn't disappearing.

If you don't like him, don't buy his book. Plenty of others have written valuable books about solutions and how to cope with climate change.

Just don't say that global warming isn't happening because, a. you don't like Al Gore, or b. you think everything is fine where you live and your gut tells you the scientists are somehow wrong, just because.

Most people agree that the globe has been warming in the past 150 years -- the debate is what if any role humans have played in this warming, and whether human action can reverse the trend. Personally I think the warming is just part of natural climate processes -- I have seen no empirical evidence that supports the hypothesis that adding more CO2 at current levels will substantially increase global temps.

Since 1970, the worlds human population has doubled. You might be able to infer that more people means more causes for co2, but that might be too obvious of a conclusion...

This is a FRAUD of epic proportions:


First, Gore sets up a company that will invest in other alternative energy companies that will benefit from his global warming hysteria.

Second, Gore gets some Hollywood types to fund and produce a factless movie designed to scare the carbon out of people.

Third, Gore travels the world (in his private jet no less) promoting this movie, while pushing the view that a catastrophe is imminent if the world doesn't immediately act.

Fourth, an adoring media falls for the con hook, line, and sinker. Rather than debunking all the flaws in his ridiculous theories, the media promotes every word of it while advancing the concept that Gore's views represent those of an overwhelming majority of scientists, which it doesn`t, and it`s just the opposite.

Fifth, scared governments and citizens across the globe invest in alternative energy programs driving up the shares of companies Gore's group has already invested in.

Sixth, Gore and his cronies make billions as they laugh all the way to the bank at the stupidity of gullible people.
