The Truth About Obama's Irish Teleprompter "Gaffe"

Dozens of readers emailed me to ask why I hadn't include the teleprompter mix-up at last week's St Patrick Day event in my top 10 gaffes by Barack Obama and Joe Biden when the president supposedly thanked himself for hosting the event because the wrong speech was loaded onto the machine.

Well, it seemed a bit fishy to me and there was no video. And upon further investigation - Obamaphobes and dittoheads brace yourselves for a big disappointment - I can confirm that there was no gaffe by the president.

What's really amazing about the Repubs is that they are not even smart when it comes to politics.

By constantly inventing reasons to attack Obama, they make themselves irrelevant. They are the boy who cried wolf.

If they had half a brain, they would realize that sooner or later, Obama is going to make some ACTUAL big mistake. He's human after all. (Ironically, they constantly accuse the left of thinking Obama is some kind of perfect Messiah, but it appears that it is the right who fears that Obama will never make a real mistake.)

If they were smart enough and patient enough to wait for an actual Obama mistake, they could pile on then, and get people interested in their whining and complaining. Instead, it's just "Wolf! Wolf! Wolf!"

Even as this truth has now come to light it won't matter. They will still make noise about this perceived "gaffe". Because the wing nuts only use their own sources for "news". Their source is usually a mile wide and an inch deep.

Limbaugh already laid a big smoke screen on this very issue yesterday. His minions will refer to that as the final word. Everything after that is "drivel from the media elite".
