As you probably know, the panels from The View and Morning Joe have been sparring back and forth on the subject of vibrators, the necessity thereof, Mika Brzezinski's embarrassment, Joe Scarborough's pioneering battles over the rights of self-pleasure, and ... let's just say "economic stimulus." This is America's Next Top Sex Toy Battle, for which we at the Huffington Post have been proud to play the fluffer. In the latest part of this eloquent and elevated morning conversation -- which aired this morning on your Morning Joe -- Willie Geist praises The View, Scarborough deems Barbara Walters "legendary," and Brzezinski slowly rolls up a sheaf of paper into a suggestive shape. Other than that, I am presenting this video without comment.

Mika deserves credit for doing her best since the beginning of Morning Joe to show that she has journalistic standards. While a morning cable show and journalistic standards may be an oxymoron, her courage in 2007 in flouting her producers’ request that she read yet one more story about Paris Hilton's jail time and now her distaste for on-air sex toy discussion are all of a piece. As a working mother, Mika recognizes that being on television does not cancel her at-home contract to be a role model for her children. What Mika consistently displays is an intellect, and sense of humor, superior to her male colleagues and a mother’s instinct to know not only her MSNBC audience, but also her family audience at home. Great journalist. Great role model.

That harassment of Mika is just unacceptable. If anyone(s) working under me ever single out another staff member for that kind of targeted teasing I'd have serious words for them. The issue isn't sexual, it is that they are clearly making her uncomfortable by making her a target. This would apply if they spent 10 minutes mocking the car she drove and by extension some quality about herself. Contrarily if they were talking about vibrators and Mika was not the target then I'd have no problem with it.

If those guys were on my staff they'd get a serious dressing down.

These people know each other and were engaged in banter that they were all clearly enjoying. In fact, their bantering reminded me of a p**n video where several guys try to tease a very demure girl in a van.

Mika is not being harassed. She is getting national attention. On "Morning Joe" she is just arm candy I guess. I haven't figured out exactly why she is there because she doesn't do much except make faces and maybe read an occasional article out of a newspaper. The ladies of "The View" gave her
big time exposure. A hell of a lot more people watch them then do Scarborough and company.

You really need to understand that that is the nature of the show. It's Mika and the guys and they have banter back and forth. Most of it, if not planned, is totally tongue-in-cheek. Mika is in on it.
