I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Last night's "South Park" took on the economy, which lead to an incredibly convoluted episode that was almost as bizarre as our current financial state. Suffice to say the, the recession has hit South Park hard, and when Stan tries to return a margarita maker everything goes haywire. He's carrying it around when he reaches the Treasury, only to find their methods of determining who gets America's money and why to be more than unorthodox.

Please read this great aricle in THE ATLANTIC entitled "The Quiet Coup." It is one of the best I've read regarding Wall Street's ownership of the US government:

SP is great! Always a hilarious insight into, well, just about everything.
Def. grown-up humor, though! Not for kiddies or PC folks!

It was the kazoo music that totally made it great.

Love south park. They always contextualize an issue in local terms, reframe the situation as something analogous, and proceed to break it on down. The Disney-Jonas Bros. episode was great as well.

If South Park is conservative so be it. Still Damm funny. Problem with liberals is that you have to demonize everything and anything that is against your grain. How Orwellian if we all have to watch Stewart/Leibowitz, Colbert, Olberdush, Mathew etc.etc.. etc.....for entertainment,

this entire episode was so hilarious! The worst part is that this may just be how the treasury department is deciding how to fix this mess! lol

there seems to be no ryme nor reason half the time, perhaps its the headless chickens fault

To all those criticizing Matt, Trey the show based on the one clip- please go to the South Park website and watch the entire 23 minutes episode. It will make a whole lot more sense. The little clip was a culmination of Stan attempts to return a margarita maker, and nobody in a long line of potential "culprits" is willing to take responsibility for the product. It was a brilliant commentary on the present mortgage crisis. There were entire sections where a generalized summary of what caused the mortgage debacle were used to explain the margarita maker. Watch it!
