I Like ItI Don’t Like It

UPDATE 4:15PM ET: Now the White House is officially getting in on the near-universal mockery of the GOP budget proposal released Thursday.

In an interview on Bloomberg TV (no link yet), White House budget director Peter Orszag called it the "first budget that doesn't have any numbers in it," and charged that Republicans have gone from "the party of 'no' to the party of 'no detail.'"

EARLIER:

The DNC just released a pretty brutal -- not to mention funny -- video mocking the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives for releasing a budget with no numbers in it.

Titled, "The Number Zero, Brought To You By The Party Of N-O," the web ad, while not really advertising much, underscores just how bad the GOP's budget alternative rollout was on Thursday. The footage of conservatives like Ed Rollins and Joe Scarborough -- as well as a somewhat-befuddled looking Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) -- drive home the point: the House GOP did themselves no favors in their attempt to put policy to paper.

And if reports from the Hill are to be believed, the GOP itself is internally at odds over the rushed and unsuccessful process.

The GOP has suddenly been thrust into a world of grown ups where intellect and legitimacy are required. Like grade schoolers suddenly asked to run a major corporation they are at a loss and way over thier heads.
Yet they are arrogant grade schoolers and will do anything to hide thier incompetency
as they have for the last eight years. The GOP does not know how a real democracy works because they haven't been required to work under a leadership that actually hold them responsible for thier actions in a very long time.
They are the Jocks trying to bluff thier way through a book report on a book they have not read and if they had would have probably not understood it.
If it were not so important to this country it would be hillarious.

I'm waiting for the RNC to sent out someone to argue:

"What do you mean our budget has no numbers? ZERO IS A NUMBER!"

The White House need not have bothered to ridicle the GOP "budget". It speaks for itself.

Republicans "DON"T DO NUMBER!"

Republicans on Wall Street were Unrealistic in Projecting the Housing Hyper-Inflation of 2005 to 2006 ahead TEN Years helping create this CRISIS!

Now Republicans want us to Project a BAD ECONOMY FORWARD TEN YEARS to get unrealistically poor growth! Besides as Obama says in ten years TEN Budgets will gradually improve the deficit or wipe it out!

Budget Projections are INVALID beyond the Current Year and can vary even during the year! The further out you go in TIME the less valid the numbers become, so concentrate on the current year and let future Budgets handle the following years!

Under a GOP president, the national debt just about doubled, to over 10 trillion dollars. That was OK with Republicans, because the debt was used to keep the government running while the super-rich were excused from paying much of their taxes, and because the debt was used to fund a war against non-existent WMDs.

Now that the Dems want and need to use debt to rescue the economy, and to keep fighting the wars that the GOP messed up, the Republicans are suddenly all up in arms. "Don't you Dems realise what the national debt is supposed to be used for? How dare you try to fix the Bush Depression and the Bush wars!"

Hey all who think Obamas plan is the screw up our childrens future. The GOP already did it. If all goes well this plan will give them a future. Understand it! A future. How hard is it to change peoples mind set. Look what the GOP offered! ZERO... No wonder this country is so screwed up. When you own a business and you need to stay ahead of the competition, you need to spend, stick your neck out. I want this country to move forward and open up new opportunites, to do this we need to spend. Or it will never happen. Back to the same old.

Those guys in the GOP are hilarious. They are the gift that keeps on giving. I wonder if they have any idea of how ridiculous they look to most everyone else.

Plan, shplan. It's more of the same cr.ap proposed by Red Ink Ron in 1980, which started us on this road to ruin. At least now we have a President who realize that the strength of this country is in the people who actually work and pay taxes, who don't have the off-shore bank accounts, or the corporations who ship our jobs overseas. If we never have another Republican president or Congress it will be too soon.
