NAPERVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- Former 1960s radical William Ayers is scheduled to speak at a suburban Chicago high school next month.

On the campaign trail President Barack Obama was scrutinized for his ties to Ayers.

The University of Illinois at Chicago professor was a founder of the radical Weather Underground and once served on a school reform board with Obama.

Naperville North High School officials say Ayers will be limited to speaking about three subjects. Those are Ayers' time with the Weather Underground, the attention he received on the campaign trail and education.

The school's assistant principal says students must have a signed permission from their parents to attend.

Ayers will speak at the high school on April 8.

This town sounds like a bunch of losers. Bill Ayers should find a town where it's worth giving a talk.

Not surprising from the VERY Republican town of Naperville.
I guarantee you that if Ollie North or G. Gordon Liddy was booked, the kids wouldn't need to get anyone's permission.

This is the same towns that had Ted Nugent headline its summer festival last year.

Can you say: "Home to corporate wingnuts" ?

I live near Naperville and knowing the town, the amazing thing is that they booked him in the first place.

We lived in DuPage County over 25 years ago, and I agree with you: I was surprised to see that Ayres was even invited. Someone is hounding him because he recently lost an appearance at Boston College too.

Please tell me that the school has interesting speakers every week and that it's customary to have a note from home to hear them. I'd hate to think they were so intimidated by the right that they'd do something this stupid just for Bill Ayers. What they will quickly learn is that the speech itself will go just fine. It will be the long tail of vitriol on Fox news that will hound them for months.

Bill Ayers? Who's next, Rev. Jeremiah Wright?

Yeah, let's just keep stoking those fires. That'll help the economy.

Ayers is a mellowed-out has-been kids. Michelle Bachmann is the one currently calling for the overthrow of the US government. Go listen to a REAL radical.

And she's a criminal, too. Incitement to riot. Time to indict her.

Yep. And since she said it on the public airwaves, a federal indictment is fair game. Let's get Eric Holder on the case.
