What I find Ironic is the military searches and clears a cave, but when they leave the cave remains intact. If it were my decision to make, I would fill that cave with explosives and collaps it upon its self.
Why leave a cleared potential hiding, meeting, storage and staging area available. Clear them then seal them off, one at a time. Take all those places out of play then they are forced into the open.

That would then bring the increase to 31 thousand, with another 129 or so more to go...

When I saw the headline, Vietnam came to mind. The call then was just a few more troops and a little more time and we will win!!

Coalition troops are dying in Afghanistan so they can build a society where women have no rights.
Absolutely ridiculous.

This precisely where I think Obama will run into problems...

Our men and women in uniform have been run ragged by reckless the previous civilian leadership in a misguided military campaign.

And now that we are getting ourselves back on the right track and actually taking on the REAL terror issue, the American people are less likely to stomach more conflict, and the troops themselves will now be coming to terms with their 4th/5th deployment?

But I am sure we all have the necessary depth in strength and determination to see this through.

I thought we voted this "war" over last Nov.? What happened?

BWAHAHAHA

You are so frigging ignorant.

If you paid any attention at ALL TO THE CAMPAIGN you would know Obama was going to send more troops to Afghanistan. Duh, he said it over and over.

No, what you are thinking of is Iraq.

Did you seriously just vote for Obama because you thought he would stop all war?

That's a pretty aggressive posture you're taking against that guy, just because he wants the wars to end.

PS Iraq is not ending either. Why?
Obama is escalating this within Afghanistan and widening it outside with the new Af-Pak term to describe a new war on Pakistan.

If your guy won't stop these immoral Bush wars Spency, be prepared to take some heat from an ever growing group of people who are fed up with these wars.
