What a sad and telling photo. While 10s of thousands for people congregated outside in London to protest the economic situation, this group of world leaders by-passed a golden opportunity to go outside and welcome them. Amazing and paradigm shifting events could have taken place if the leaders had the ability to join the people. The leaders are maintaining and consolidating their separation from the public. Nothing new there.

There's a huge safety issue you may want to think about.

I've thought a lot about the safety issue. All of those leaders stand a chance of getting hurt within their current MO. I believe it's the separation of the elites from the public that's causing most of the violence at all levels. There's a massive amount of violence as a result of the way we do things now so why not try new approaches such as reaching out to people who care enough about the world situation to organize and show up? I've been part of many rallies and marches and have found them to be safe and humane. The leaders have a chance to bring out the best or the worst in the public.
