I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Gah Joe Is An Idiot

"Horny" attention-monger Samuel J. "Joe the 'Plumber'" Wurzelbacher has been asked by Americans For Prosperity to serve as the group's labor-busting shill in the campaign against the Employee Free Choice Act, which would allow labor unions to form through both a secret ballot or by card-check -- a choice that would reduce instances of anti-union intimidation common to the formative stages of organizing. And, as with almost all things related to Joe The Plumber -- like war reporting and taxes and probably plumbing -- ol' Joe just walks in front of cameras and flaunts the fact that he doesn't know a blessed thing about what he's talking about and doesn't plan to change. (I say "almost all things" because I had hoped that he had found his true calling as a digital teevee conversion spokesmodel, which he was actually okay at.)

Anyway, via Greg Sargent, here's a video of a reporter from Keystone Progress attempting to divine what, if anything, Wurzelbacher knows about the labor law issues he's spokesmodeling for now. SPOILER ALERT: HE DOES NOT KNOW A BLESSED THING, GAH. What Joe knows how to do, apparently, is dodge questions, say the word "brother" over and over again like he's Desmond from Lost, and bleat senselessly about how "it's all about America." It's no wonder that actual plumbers hate this phony like he was feline leukemia.

Hmmm. I thought the main issue was one-ply vs. two-ply.

I guess i really have to brush up on the unions, i didn't know the answers to this reports questions . I do understand a few things about it but none of my family is in a union so i tend to not pay attention to much it seems both sides have good points. I for one if i was a worker for a union would want to vote in secret so not to bring attention to my vote that's all and who doesn't what good health ins, days off, and great pay.

Have you been paying attention. The EFCA preserves the secret ballot while also allow the option of a card vote. It's just a union-busting lie that EFCA would do away with the secret ballot if that's what workers opt for. EFCA would make it easier to from unions, not more difficult. Why do you think that the money party is against it?

If you were in a union you wouldn't be voting to form one. Knowledge is Power!!!

Why is Joe-Sam even still in the media--he and Plain should barely get a blip on the proverbial radar screen any more...

This IS America.
More than we're willing to acknowledge.
Be afraid.
Weep.

I think this article says a lot more about the media than it does poor Joe. This guy has been exposed as someone without any "cred" at all, but the MSM still chases him everywhere he goes. This only goes to show us just how the media does its work and spins its stories, making up a story where there is none to be had!

For the first time, I'm really feeling sorry for Poor Joe.
He hangs his head when the guy talks about how hard management has been on the union.
He's the rich man's monkey, and the economy is so bad that he probably doesn't have much of a choice.

It reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns pays Homer outrageous sums of money to humiliate himself and do things that he thinks are unethical. (it has the famous panda rape scene).

Joe is like that now. A rich man's tool. They are using him to try to talk to the blue-collar workers and weaken unions. He looks truly miserable doing this.

Is there any way we can all just stop linking to stories about Joe the Plumber? Even the ones that theoretically embarrass him? It seems to me that, by keeping this guy in the public eye, we're only embarrassing ourselves.

I was wondering about this too....who pays Joe? There is no way he could be holding down a regular job with all his travel and appearances.

Thanks John McCain, for opening up the box that contained Joe-Really-Not-A-Plumber Wurzelbacher and subjecting us to his seemingly non-ending 15 minutes of fame. This guy doesn't know his *ahem* from his plumbing snake and continues to prove it every time he opens his mouth.

Go away Joe. Go away.

Actually, his name is Samuel. lol. So it's more like Really-Not-Joe-Really-Not-A-Plumber Wurzelbacher
