What is really interesting here is that both China and France were least hit by the financial meltdown. Both of them have a different approach to their economies than do other countries, and both are strong and successful. It should be no surprise that they would but heads.

The sherpas comment was wholly unnessary!

The President was playing negotiator, and thank goodness he did and was successful.

Go Obama!

And this is suppose to be the work of a Facist, Communist, Socialist, and Marxist? If that's the case, than I must be all those things too. 'Cause it looks to me like President Obama is handling this situation quite well. And that's what the Republicans are afraid of. It's not like Bush when none of the world leaders would shake his hand, but here Obama's brought the image of America back to life.

Community organizing at its best! How many times, does one imagine, that an experienced community organizer has to cool tempers in a room full of people with divergent interests and foul tempers, especially in Chicago? This was instinct and served everyone well.

Now, who said something aboout no experience to be our leader during the primaries and the campaign?

Good morning. Obama will only serve 4 years, because in 2012, he will be elected to the newly-created position as "President of the World".

Gee, what happened to all those headlines warning us how hard the other leaders were going to be on President Obama and what a tough sale he was going to have to make with foreign leaders. The Queen, who never touches anyone, is arm-in-arm with Michelle and these other guys are piling on top of each other like frat boys to get their picture taken with the President and asking him for his autograph, saying, "it's for my daughter". Now I guess they will go back to saying Obama can't be trusted because he's too popular with Europeans, especially the dreaded French.

It means "friend". But you're right - you don't like anything positive associated with President Obama.

Hey think of it this way, at least they don't hail 'Lord' Obama. So 'comrade' is still acceptable.

Today is another great day, waking up and knowing that we have a President who will be working for the good of all of us. The election of last November will prove to be historic for more than one reason. I truly believe President Obama will help usher in a new golden age for our country, and for my money he's off to a great start both at home and abroad.

Obama displayed excellent statesmanship. Helene Cooper at the NYT clearly detests and resents him, though, because her piece on the story was positively horrid. She said he "escorted" the men and "judged" the dispute. Her snippy article was truly terrible. Not biased - just bad. With all the great reporters at NYT, you'd think they could put somebody more skilled on Obama.
