I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, known for his often inappropriate gaffes, appears to have upset Queen Elizabeth II during a G-20 group photo in London. Berlusconi shouts to President Obama, who is standing near the Queen. Her Majesty apparently did not understand the need for such a rude ruckus. Watch here:

The video has since become an Internet sensation, while Buckingham Palace has tried to play down the episode.

no controversy, sorry. However, bersculoni is a bit obnoxious, i think the fact that even the queen is in on the joke is telling.

I don't see the controversy.
She did not seem "Rattled" at all.

Journalists are slowly taking up kindergarten level thinking. I dont see the queen teed off. Even a toddler can see that it was a light moment, and she merely made fun of berlusconi;s nasal operatic loud voice. C'mon...please.

This is not about the Queen. It's about BERLUSCONI the CLOWN!!!

Dear God He's a fellow Italian. We southern Europeans are not as docile nor as drab as our Northern Neighbors. And Trust me It's ok to touch him too, give him a kiss heck make it two. It's cool!

There is no evidence of the queen being "rattled", but theere is every evidence that a few folks are bored and are studying video footage of the conference proceedings for any potential for sensation and gossip.

The affair above was not a funeral and didn't call for hushed tones and extraordinary sobriety.
The video is not even newsworthy.

For all of you who think this is a non-issue, please take a moment to look at the Italian Prime Minister from the point of view of the Italians. He is an embarrassment to us. He is constantly doing things which to you seem goofy.... and you say, "yeah, but Italians are just like that, right? Italians are funny."

No, Italians are not all like Berlusconi.

I am a decent, law-abiding, tax-paying citizen of Italy, and I feel I do not deserve to be represented by this clown. Unfortunately, the majority of Italians do want him to represent them... kind of like the majority of the USA citizens wanted Bush to represent them for 8 years.

Get it?

Obviously he is not embarrassing to the majority of your country or he would not have been re-elected.

All this fluff being thrown in the air. Seems that some media types want to show any gossip and not have to report on the actual content of the meetings. You know, the boring but important parts. Of course, we have Faux News and similar Rupert franchises who like to create negativity.

Queen's right there and Berlusconi is yelling in her ear to someone else. (*sigh*) The guy can't help it.

It was Berlusconi's pinch on her bottom that rattled the Queen. Those Italians. La dolce vita. ;)

She must have been thinking of how to improve the popularity of the royal family. She is probably acutely aware of last year's Iberoamerican summit, when King Juan Carlos of Spain told Hugo Chavez "will you please shut up", which sent the king's popularity up the roof in Spain.
