Heidi Montag isn't shedding too many tears as Lauren Conrad prepares for her final season of The Hills, airing Monday.
"We don't need her," she tells MTV News. "We'll miss her. I just don't know if we need her."
Montag says she wasn't "surprised" when her former BFF told Us Weekly exclusively that she is leaving the hit MTV show.

This story is ridiculous because the show is fake. These two act like they hate each other even in public. These birds are probably best of friends. What I, for the life of me, cannot believe is how so many dim bulbs ended up with such good jobs. What a crock. In what workplace is the entire staff good looking? Reality my bum.
These are a new breed of 'celebrity'. They don't even pretend to have acting or singing talent. Just....nothing.
I watched 'The Hills' once so I would know what it was. It was incredibly, painfully boring. Just watching two 20-year old girls talking uncomfortably about nothing in particular.
I wonder who does watch it? My teenager doesn't watch it and neither do her friends.
I hate to burst these gals bubbles, but nobody is watching this crap. Seriously, nobody gives a damn about thier BS or stupid program. NOBODY cares. Trust me, before the summer is over people will look and go who are these morons? The kindest thing they could do is to cancel all of this reality BS and just make them all go away. The public would greatly thank you.

I don't let pop culture rule my life but I do try to stay at least a bit current so I can contribute to the occasional conversation. But even after I clicked on the article I can honestly say I have never heard of either person or the show mentioned. I'm not sure what that says about me or our current culture.
