New Nato Chief

ABC News:

On the heels of his negotiations at the G-20 economic summit - where he negotiated a way out of a potential logjam spurred by a heated debate between France and China over tax havens - President Obama exercised his negotiating skills once again on this overseas trip, this time at the NATO Summit.

This time the debate was over whether Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen should become the next secretary general of NATO.

So much for the GOP "community organizer is not experience" argument. I do believe Mr President is showing just how well his community organization skills can pay off in helping to organize the international community

The U.S.news are skewed to make Obama the major problem solver in this incident. No surprise there. Although Obama handled the situation very well, it was Berlusconi who convinced Erdogan for the Rasmussen leadership at Nato. There were bunch of consessions, and Italy compromised too by giving up the second leadership position to Turkey. Also, Rasmussen will be giving a formal apology for the poor handling of the islamic cartoon scandal and causing heightened tensions between the muslim and christian world. This incident shows once again that the American dominance in the diplomatic arena fades away and Europeans are pleased to see an American leader who does not act with arrogance but has respect and understanding that the new world order requires close collaboration on equal terms with Europeans.

Accepted everywhere, but not in his own country. Does that sound familiar?

BHO is doing a fantastic job on all fronts so far. America made the right decision on November 4.

He is portraying the type of America we want to be.

This is an interesting and encouraging report about Obam's potential as a world leader, drawing on charisma, intelligence, and people skills. Barak Obama global community organizer. It is wonderful to feel proud of our president.

Hmmm, seems a shame that the ones who so obviously hate us and would like our President, Barack Hussein Obama, the Leader of The Free World, to fail, are within our own borders; what a shame...

"Obama eventually clenched the decision with his leadership – and because he listened to what people said.”

I guess that quote pretty much sums it up, although, for the record, I think he clinched it, not clenched.

This is no surprise, he was born to do what he is doing, and if so it was with God's blessing. If that is so, then it is for good and he is taking care of business. I am an artist, been doing it my entire life and had no choice, it was what I was meant to do and if you have looked at Obama's story, you know he was born to do what he is doing. Not sure how else to say it but we are in good hands.

Exactly my thoughts. Halleluliah!
This makes my day after reading some of the very negative posts over on Politico I was very depressed. I would rather stay on HuffPo and read all of these positive posts.

An interesting gallup poll comparing Obama and McCain's leadership back in August.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/109891/Obama-Still-Lags-McCain-Leader-Commander-Chief.aspx

Every time I get dismayed by haters I just remember that so many have always counted Obama out and he always manages to rise above their expectations.

That is why he is doing such a great job. He has been dealing with adversity all of his life. He's one tough, smart S.O.B.--and I say that with utmost respect, affection, and admiration.

The naysayers must be having a fit!
This is a brilliant man, with potential that has no limits. At least not that he has shown thus far.
Success of this trip is beyond most expectations.
He breaks up a spat between France and China, and this.
Plus he took his message right to the people of Europe with the town halls.
Winning over most of their politicians and the rest via their voters. Smart.
