The Obamas spent Sunday in Prague, starting the day with Czech first couple Vaclav and Livia Klausova before going to a speech at Hradcany Square.

After stepping off the plane Saturday in a simple black dress and cropped cardigan, the First Lady donned a black Michael Kors skirt, different black cardigan, a white Moschino shirt with a large bow on the front, her favorite belt, and her go-to kitten heels.

THe FLOTUS has an idiosyncratic style. High-waisted belts, glitters, kitten heels, costume jewels, boleros, full skirts and, of course, bows. Plus she gets mileage out her wardrobe being unafraid to wear the same thing again. And again. Personally, because she is so tall and in such great shape, she looks most spectacular when she's wearing sleek, tailored form-fitting stuff. That black pantsuit was a knockout. And the black satin balooning opera coat was awesome. I would have to agree about the bow, the bigger may not better but in MO's case it looked audacious.

My favorite quote about this is from a friend's site.

Two people fortunate to talk to M.O. in Prague and find out if you're gonna go with a bow, go with a big bow. Some nice pictures too.

When all is said and done, I think the only person Michelle really cares whether he likes her outfits or not, is the person walking beside her.

And who is to say whether she looks good or not? Well, the public, of course! We've always been fascinated with the style of the first lady, and if Michelle wants style to not be the topic of conversation concerning herself, she can go for a tried and true classic look with no risk, and we wouldn't even be thinking about it. People really didn't discuss Laura Bush's fashion, and that's because she wasn't wearing anything interesting/different. I'm not saying Michelle shouldn't be wearing fun/stylish things, I'm just saying she needs a little more help in that area to get her true fashion sense refined to get more hits than misses. She obviously enjoys fashion and wants to portray a certain image, but she could do with a little more professional advice.

I like Michelle, but this is a fashion article so here goes. Her fashion really is hit or miss. She needs to stop belting everything and hire a stylist to hone and refine her style. The belts usually look like some random afterthought and do little to enhance or shape the outfit in a good way. I appreciate that she's trying something edgy, avant-garde, funky, or whatever, but she needs to reel it in and tone it down. It often looks like she almost reaches a fashion epiphany, but falls short. Just because she is tall does not mean she can pull off every look. Sometimes it seems as though she thinks just because she is using the right designers it doesn't matter how the pieces are put together. Please hire a stylist, Michelle!

Its amazing that this Harvard Grad has been turned into a 'Fashion Model' in the eyes of the public! Not fair!

She is smart, intelligent and beautiful.

Can people get over what colors her shows are or how big her bows are etc?

Why are people so critical of everything she wears? if Beyonce or Sarah Jessica Parker wore same, would she be subjected to all these scrutiny?

I am a fashion designer/Fashion consultant and I can authoritatively say that Michelle Obama dresses well. Like Coco Chanel said, Fashion recycles, nothing is new in fashion....that is why we have clothes we call 'vintage', 'classic' etc, and all fashion is a cut off from something in the past.

Please, folks, give this lady a break! There is more to her than what she wears daily!

she's being effectively "neutered" by the press/media. can't have a powerful, brilliant and successful black woman as first lady. she must be reduced to this. it's pitiful. i haven't seen one piece on huff po about what she did in europe. i did hear from another source that she spoke to groups of kids in france. i'm sure she did plenty besides use europe as a big runway for her fashion sense, or lack of it as the case is at times. shame on huff po for not showing us more of the real michelle obama. i'm more than a little disappointed.

Okay...this outfit is HIDEOUS!!! Normally I don't give two craps what the FLOTUS wears, but she should burn that rag and make a vow to never wear bows again. She should lose the belts too. It's truly not a good look for her, but ladies, we've all worn things out that seemed like a good idea in the morning, but proved to be a mistake by lunchtime. So let's not act like we don't know what it's like to have to put up with a fashion mistake because there's no time to go home and change.

Having said that, I think what matters most is that this woman is brilliant in her own right, and I think she makes a fine First Lady. The people of Europe have been more intrigued with her than with our President. She is a tremendous good will ambassador for us, so let's cut her some slack on the ugly dress.

I find it very interesting how people criticize Mrs. O. We have placed this fashionista title on her and expect her to uphold it when all she is doing is being herself. So what, you don't like her clothes. There have been some outfits that I didn't agree on, but overall she has represented this country gracefully! I can't think of a 1st lady who has stood out to me so much ( she's relatable---like an older sister or cousin). The image that comes to mind of Mrs. L. Bush was when she had on her rendition of a rust potato sack dress next to Mrs. O in her fierce red dress. Hillary and those homely pants suits, and I just remember Mrs. B. Bush had on a short leather skirt once... that sight doesn't play well in an 8 year olds eyes:-O Anyway, after years of dowdy old folginess, it is refreshing to see someone so chic (Jackie O), sexy, and smart (Hillary) all in one! And, jsuk, large belts are in!

The song this beautiful couple danced to at the inauguration balls says it all ... AT LAST.

she is a well educated accomplished charismatic smart woman. I would have preferred it she is more famous for her intellectulism and public service than something as adolescent as bows, dresses and shoes.

Looks good in anything but needs a new stylist. Some of the outfits are a bit off.

I think Michelle Obama made the mistake of wearing something that looked very nice on her once or twice - now everyone seems to think she's trying to be a fashionista and they're judging every outfit she wears as if she's in a contest of some sort. Maybe she just wears what she likes and what's appropriate: nothing too revealing, nothing too short, nothing too tight, comfortable to wear all day - and out the door she goes. I don't think she wants to be a fashion trendsetter, and I think it's a shame that people keep trying to judge her on that criteria. I never hear anything about what Jill Biden, Hilary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, or any other female pols are wearing. I never hear anything about what Michelle's husband is wearing either. It must be horrible not being able to throw your clothes on in the morning without worrying about the scrutiny it's going to receive all day. Maybe her strategy now is to wear regular, down to earth stuff until people realize she's not trying to be a fashion plate and leave her alone.
That being said: if you have to keep swearing you're not pregnant, then sometings wrong with the figure or the fit.

I'm sure there are many women in this country (especially those under 40) who do not believe that
"You are what you wear" but obviously they're in the minority here. Wake up ladies, there's more to life than a hemline
