Obama Gets '3 a.m. Phone Call' On North Korea

Visiting Prague, Czech Republic, U.S. President Barack Obama was awakened at 4:30 a.m. Sunday with the news that North Korea had launched a rocket, as it had threatened to do over the past several weeks.

During his presidential campaign, Obama and former rival Hillary Clinton debated over who would be better qualified to take a hypothetical early-morning call of an international crisis. But in Prague, where both Obama and Clinton -- now Secretary of State -- are participating in the European Union summit, they acted in concert.

Given how long we've known that NK was planning a launch does anyone really think that options had already been discussed and press releases regarding the various outcomes already written?

That 3 am phone call is such a stu pid description hello it can happen anytime. At 3 am Obama was probably up. If you are night owl your 3 am call comes in the daytime. Its si lly to call it a 3am phone call who the heck make these things up.
