The Hill:

Anti-abortion activists and other conservatives are not happy with Republican senators for not taking a tough line against Health and Human Services Secretary-designate Kathleen Sebelius.

Sebelius, the Democratic governor of Kansas, made her Capitol Hill debut last week at two confirmation hearings. Anti-abortion groups have been campaigning against her nomination to the Cabinet based on her record in favor of abortion rights.

Born-again pro-lifers are all for killing people after they've been born. Hypocrites.

Fetus's are not babies, They begin as a cell that divides. No one really knows for certain when it is a viable life form. Sperm and eggs are dying constantly and for a significant period of time the fertilized egg is little more than that. As probably a religious person, you might consider that a soul enters the body at some point, but we don't know when. Probably not before the brain is formed at least and it could be later. If abortions were more freely obtained, likely the vast majority would occur prior to the brain being formed. But your rigidity prevents even this measure of humanity to occur. If you were more humane, you might advocate education and availability of birth control. If you truly love the sinner and hate the sin, then hate the greater sin of getting pregnant when you are not in the process of planning a family. Support family planning instead of condemning them. They are offering humane services and the best possible way of managing pregnancies, including making sure that mothers who do carry to term have healthy babies. So, here is a legitimate answer which you have condemned out of ignorance.

I grew up before Roe vs Wade in a fairly affluent Republican neighborhood. Trips to Europe by young women were common in my area back then that included stopovers in Sweden. Everyone gave a big wink. No backroom coat hangers for them. It seems the repubs have always been about one set of laws for the privileged and one set for the rest of us.

Two things...
First, there is NO WAY in HELL that an anti-choice candidate would be considered for this post, not in a Democratic administration and not when we hold the cards in the House. So, it's stupid to get your panties in a knot over Sebelius. If it's not her, it will most definitely be someone else JUST LIKE her.
Second, let's not point fingers about tax problems. If the shoe was on the other foot and there was a Republican administration right now, there would be plenty of candidates having the same tax problems. We all know it, because we've seen it plenty of times in the last 8 years and other times too. Personally, I think it's time to change the tax codes. They are confusing to most of us and this just drives the point home.

To Republicans, life begins at conception, and becomes worthless after birth.
That's why they are for de@th penalty and wars.

P-L-E-A-S-E...Roe v. Wade was decided decades ago. It is time for the Anti-abortion force to do something other than picket and prevent women from around the globe making a very personal decision between her and her healthcare provider.

If you don't believe in abortion...don't have one. AND...adopt/finance/pay taxes for all of the people who are having children and can't afford them

If you are a fiscal Republican.. you should be FOR abortion...and gee.. right wing fanatics who voited for Bush should support forced sterlization. Just like Germany in the 30s.

well, their current semi-hero Gingrich just switched to catholicism, and growing up in that church, I can tell you that anyone who does not belong to this one true church will go straight to heck - they're busy trying to come to grips with the idea that they may have to support someone who thinks all their baptist and born-again butts will burn. Going back to reagan puts too much on their plate right now.
