I really enjoy her bloggings that I read here at the Huff Post. But I think she needs to realize that freedom of speech is basically a rope to hang yourself with. And it's no exception here in the U.S.

Freedom of speech is a tool used by the government to find out who the trouble makers are.

It's not the case here in the US, yet, if it were everyone on this web site, and many others would be in Prison by now.

It is the case here in the U.S. Hundreds of Americans are visited by DHS all the time, Some wind up on the "Do not fly list" for doing nothing at all.

I personally know people that have been stalked, rounded up and question and or had their homes raided and had their pc hard drives downloaded by the FBI and DHS.

She is quite correct. The internet does open a window into areas where there is repression.
