Saddleback Church mega-church pastor and the man who delivered the invocation at the President's inaugural, Rick Warren, went on Larry King last night and insisted, despite all the video footage out there of him on his anti-gay efforts, that he isn't against gays or same sex marriage.

I really think Larry King is losing it, first he has Jenny Mccarthy on like she is some medical expert, and now rick warren. Of course rick warren is lying. he has no other leg to stand on.

whoeevr wrote this totally missed the fact that larry busted warren on his lie. warren said that he was never involved in prop 8., then after the break, (someone must have given larry the information during break), larry said, but wait, did you not send out a newsletter urging people to vote yes on 8? and then rick admitted that he did, but tried to downplay it.
rick has always tired to be the likeable bigot and he knows that the ride is turning and that if he wants to keep followers, he has to stop being so venomous.

If you are married by a preacher, and have no state issued license...
In the eyes of the law you are not married, no alimony, no employer based dependent heath coverage,
no automatic property or inheritance rights, no automatic hospital visiting rights etc. etc.
If you have the license, you never need to set foot in a church, can be atheist, satanist or pantheist...
and you have the rights above.

That is different than him just having an opinion on the topic.
This is sophistry. The man is a preacher and head of one of the larger churches in Southern California. He knows that when he speaks on an issue, his "flock" will follow his example.
More to the point is his either ignorance or false leadership. Paul put is clear in 1 Corinthians 5:9 - 15:

I expect nothing but lies from Rick Warren. I did expect better from Larry King than to just let him get away with such a monumental lie. Silly me. No substance, no journalistic integrity. What was I thinking, expecting more from anyone on cable news? I'll stick to Jon Stewart.
