J.K. Rowling Quits Multiple Sclerosis Charity With "Sadness And Regret"

Multi-millionaire Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling said Thursday she had quit as patron of a Scottish charity for multiple sclerosis because the organisation is being ripped apart by an internal row.

Rowling, who has supported the charity for nearly a decade after her mother died from the debilitating disease in 1991, said conflict between MS Society Scotland and management in London had resulted in a host of resignations.
