Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of the long-running Comedy Central animated series South Park, say that they received a signed photograph of Saddam Hussein from U.S. Marines charged with guarding the Iraqi dictator prior to his 2006 execution. The Marines reportedly made Hussein watch the South Park movie, South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut, repeatedly while imprisoned. From the Telegraph:

During his captivity, US marines forced Saddam, who was executed in 2006, to repeatedly watch the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut, which shows him as gay, as well as the boyfriend of Satan. He was also regularly depicted in a similar manner during the TV series.

...

[Stone] said: "We're very proud of our signed Saddam picture and what it means. Its one of our biggest highlights.

"I have it on pretty good information from the marines on detail in Iraq that they showed Saddam the movie.

"Over and over again - which is a pretty funny thought. "That's really adding insult to injury."

The show is now on its 13th season and remains a staple item in Comedy Central's lineup.

Here's a little free speech for the libertarions. Trey stone and matt parker have made a lucrative career out of a cartoon, they apparently began in the 7 th grade. their "genuis" is that they have sucessfully resisted any urge to grow out being 12 year old dinks. matt stone is a texas native, and like almost all other texas natives, a complete reactionary right wing d*ck, with white man entitlement syndrome. he has been embraced by libertartian writers and "thinkers" because he has a pile of money and since libertarians foundations tend to need money badly, they kiss up to him.Trey parker is from Colorado. He went to columbine high school which has produced other young right wing luminaries:

Its unclear if parker shares all of stones outrage at "libruls", (oddly, he appeared in a prominent role in a michael moore film, even though he is a registered republican, behavior which could get a republican rushlisted) or if he is just a coincidental fellow traveler with stone,in that he loves easy money ( ever might a republican who dosnt?) a and has lots of warm, squishy, feelings for isreal. In any case, south park is basically a bunch of the same old pollack, n*gger, and f*g, jokes used over and over. in other words, right wing "humor".

Just so you know, Matt Stone didn't go to Columbine, he went to a school a few miles away. Doubt you watched Bowling for Columbine, or you would have known that.

And South Park is hardly just a bunch of curse words, I recommend you watch a few episodes before you make those judgements. Just because South Park creators don't have the same views as you and might make fun of something you believe in doesn't mean you have to get pissed off. Learn to take a joke man.

Ok, so it seems that I'm the only one here who doesn't find the taunting of prisioners remotely funny.

Liked the movie, though.

Okay, really really really creepy story. I confess I think a little bit less of the Marines and of the South Park creators now.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone tickle me to no end. One of my favorite episodes is the one
about the boxing match between Jesus and Satan. I have a lot of favorite episodes.

It's so odd.

Wow US Soldiers attempt at torture goes down as a massive FAIL.

Seriously, for an egomaniac like Sadam he prob got a huge kick out of it.

And what, did these soldiers not think he saw it when it came out?
What do they think TVs dont exist in Iraq?

Man I hope our new era brings a level of professionalism and intelligence into our military, if anything shrink to just the Marines, Navy, and Special Opps.

Our soldiers should be genius killing machines, not these oafs as it appears in this story.

i agree with you in wanting professionalism from our soldiers. These acts of attempted humiliation do not reflect well on our soldiers or our nation. Recall that George Washington instructed the Continental soldiers to not abuse prisoners. I prefer soldiers who kill the enemy and then have the humanity to mourn the necessity of their killing.

Watching that movie alone is enough punishment for anyone. I love the series, but hated that movie.
