Fed Tells Banks To Keep Quiet On Stress Tests

Bloomberg:

The U.S. Federal Reserve has told Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Citigroup Inc. and other banks to keep mum on the results of "stress tests" that will gauge their ability to weather the recession, people familiar with the matter said.

The Fed wants to ensure that the report cards don't leak during earnings conference calls scheduled for this month. Such a scenario might push stock prices lower for banks perceived as weak and interfere with the government's plan to release the results in an orderly fashion later this month.

a majority of holidays that are representative of a particular thing, then that thing defines
the culture. Almost all of the Christian symbolism has dissipated into
a commercialized context. The new religion is commerce under the Uniform Commercial Code.
Buy a plane ticket and celebrate the holidays where they have most significance.

Technically the Fed is not the government it is a corporation, one that's never been audited by the way. It's interesting how little ink has been given to the amount of taxpayer money given to the Fed since last fall, Matt Taibbi put it around $6 trillion dwarfing the piddly $700 billion doled out in TARP funds. Constitutionally the Fed is not part of the government, it is exactly the type of entity the Jefferson warned us the US about. Jefferson said that if We the People ever let the banks control our currency the children of this nation would wake up homeless. All presidents since John Kennedy have been puppets of the Fed. John Kennedy did take our currency away from the Fed in June 1963, he was shot November 22, 1963 and the Fed was back in control of our currency by December.

What is really 'transparent' is the way Obama speaks out of both sides of his mouth. But, you already knew that. He should give Bill Clinton 'slick' lessons. I think that what we are arguing about here regarding whether Amrican is a Chrtistian nation or not is the difference between de jure and de facto. It is not legally a Christian nation in the way that France before the Revolution of 1790 was, but the general tenure of the government seems to be Christian or at least GODLY whatever that might mean. Look at most of our money from the penny to the $100 dollar bill--all say "In God We Trust"--Do you think they were talking about a Greek God, a Jewish God or a Christian God or just any old God like Jupiter or Athena or NoboDaddy???
