Hillary Clinton Wears Floral Brooch Second Day In A Row

Hillary Clinton is really on a roll! After beaming her way through Europe last week, then debuting a Michelle Obama-esque belt-and-brooch get-up on Wednesday, the Secretary of State turned up at a meeting with Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith on Thursday looking similarly chic. Clinton, like former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, has always been a fan of brooches, but she's particularly taken with flowers this week.

Madeline Albright used her brooches to send subtle messages about her mood and to express herself. I don't see the same thing from Hillary Clinton. The flower does impart a sense of softness although I think having a large brooch up so high on the lapel right next to the triple strand of pearls is a bit of accessory overkill.
