Jamie Miley

Jamie Foxx had some not-so-nice words for Miley Cyrus during his weekend Sirius radio show "The Foxxhole," judging by a audio posted on YouTube and heard below.

UPDATE: WATCH FOXX APOLOGIZE ON LENO

During a discussion criticizing Miley, 16, for being upset at not getting to meet Radiohead backstage at the Grammys, Foxx, 41, told her to get a gum transplant and to "make a sex tape and grow up... Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin... get some crack in your pipe... Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat."

Someone else is heard calling her a "white bitch."

Foxx has a teenage daughter.

I don't know if others have mentioned this or not, and I know it was Foxx's show, but at least half the things he said were repeats of what his cohosts were saying. He's getting blamed [and I understand why] but what about the other two people? Someone even said, "Make a sex tape with your dad". Come on! Even Foxx didn't repeat that.

It wasn't hilarious to me, but I'm sure it was to some people. Whatever Miley said was probably silly [how could she possibly ruin the career of Radiohead?] but it didn't deserve the backlash they gave her. Regardless, people said stupid things on both ends of this, because people want fame, and want to be liked, and they're rich so how dare anyone deny them what they want [for Miley it was to meet Radiohead, and for Foxx it was the ability to get away with saying --or repeating-- whatever he felt]. Hollywood turns people, end of story.

How would Jamie like it if we said his daughter needs a nose job or smaller ears? Some things you should never say.

first, i don't want to make this about race, however black people's humor is very different than with s.itle's.it was funny to me. the only thing he said about her is that she has big gums. she does...catch a std? now you know he wasn't serious. that was for shock effect... i wouldn't be surprised, if tomorrow, foxxx talks about how big his forehead is. or how bald his daughter is...we just don't take things this serious. bernie mac did an entire act about his gay nephew---and it was HILARIOUS! please don't make this big because he is talking about a southern white girl. i know that's where this whole things is headed, because a few ppl metioned jesse--the joke had NOTHING to do with race. don't take it there, plase.

Before I actually heard the audio, I thought folks were overreacting. I do not think that anymore. That was bad form Jamie. You KNOW better, Dude. Children are off limits. It doesn't matter that we got that joke. That was just wrong. Not Don Imus wrong, but wrong all the same.

He made a single apology - but he slammed her in a profane way many times. The things he said were gross and demeaning and not funny at all. What he said was hateful, and a form of hate mongering. Let's get away from what hate mongering brings. His apology was lame - "I'm a comedian and that's what I do." BS. Be a real man and a dad and own up to what you said. Make a real apology.

Miley Cyrus didn't even make a sincere apology when she mocked Asians by pulling her eyes back. Bear in mind that she's trying to sell her music and movies to these people so that's just not right. She used a bunch of lame excuses and blamed the media. Most of the people who said the incident wasn't a big deal are now upset that an Oscar-winning black actor took a pretentious white teen Disney star to task for threatening to ruin Radiohead's music career. You have to admire the hypocrisy of her defenders; if she were a minority who behaved this way, then they would have turned on her a long time ago.

Two things:
1. Foxx is a comedian being besides the point, some things go so far beyond the pale, and this definitely qualifies. While comparing himself to a shock jock, I've never heard of a shock jock picking on a minor with such graphic overtone. He attacked her in her capacity as a very successful artist and celebrity whose in the same business as he, but still inexcusable. He apologize, and she has a right to accept or deny, but as a fan of his movies and comedy yet not of his music I too have a right to accept or deny his apology. I'm still a huge Mel Gibson fan and have no beef with Don Imus, but in this case the jury is still out.

2 I'm reading alot about a double standard with the civil rights leaders, where is Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton in all of this. That's not fair. There is no legacy of racial discrimination against whites in this country that threatens to open infected wounds of past injustices like there is with blacks or Jews (and in the making with Latino immigrants and Muslim Americans). So while you're not going to see civil rights leader marching in the streets in protest of this, you very well may find the likes of me boycotting with their wallet or no longer patronizing Foxx's shows.

Geez where is al sharpton on this one? Is it only a joke now cause that is Jamie's Job Rev Al? Where is his preaching no one go to Jamie Fox movies, merchandise, music, etc Funny how there is a dbl standard. It is ok for them but not the rest of the world. So i guess Imus and Kramer shouldn't have been pitched forked or torched for their comments cause their comedians too huh?

I do not believe this JOKE is causing such uproar!?! I listen to this show every Friday and find the entire 2 hours very entertaining. I heard the comments on Miley Cyrus in and out of the few minutes Cryus’ fans found offensive, and he was completely JOKING and it was HILARIOUS. Is this country getting to a point when a comedian can’t tell a good JOKE?? This show goes after everybody no matter if you are gay or the president. However, when he cracks a harmless JOKE on Cryrus, now there’s a blow back from non-listeners. I guess Disney and the moms of Cyrus fans are leading the charge on this. Or the media and politicians are tired of attacking Obama, so they've found this to talk about. I hope Jamie doesn’t change his style, because people don’t like JOKES cracked family entertainers. If this same JOKE was told on a different platform such as HBO, you people would find it entertaining. Jamie keep your head up and continue to do what you do.

Jamie Foxxx is not a class act. He is not funny. If he was, he wouldn't have to resort to leud remarks about anyone. I remember a guest appearance he made on Oprah - wannabe kissing butt. Now this attacking a young woman verbally just confirms my first impression.

Miley Cyrus isn't a class act either. She has repeatedly leaked scantily-clad pictures of herself on the Internet to attract more male fans. She picked unprovoked fights in public with other teen stars like Selena Gomez. She's been romantically involved with older guys -- a background dancer 7 years her senior when she was 15 and currently an underwear model 4 years her senior even though she's just 16. She also made offensive gestures at Asians while trying to sell her music and movies to them. It's clear that she's not a good role model for young girls. I'm tired of all these parents who turn a blind eye to her bad behavior and then lecture to others about impropriety.

I get what you are saying Tchalla, but Jamie did cross the line. If Miley Cyrus was 26 instead of 16, it would be much less of a big deal. America LOVES this girl. Remember that scene in Malcolm X where Elijah Muhammad suspends Malcolm X from the Nation of Islam for what he said after the Kennedy assassination? Same vibe, just 45+ years later.

Comparing what Malcolm X said about JFK to what Jamie Foxx said about Miley Cyrus is pure exaggeration. The world doesn't revolve around a spoiled teen Disney star. It seems that you need to get out of the house more often.

Lest we forget what happened to Emmet Till?? It wasn't that long ago... Times have not changed that much.

The only problem I have with this whole mess is if it was a white person saying on the radio calling someone a "black bitch" we would be hearing from jesse jackson and them making a big deal about this

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:37 AM on 04/15/2009

I do agree that if the rolls had been reversed the white person making the comments would have been labeled racist. However, I think that the appology Jamie Foxx made concerning the comments was a nice one and hopefully will be taken that way. Though I found nothing he said funny at all, his willingness to apologize should be accepted and let this thing blow over. He was wrong, he admited he was wrong and he said he was sorry for it.....

It's ironic that Cyrus is criticized for her 'obnoxious' behavior while Foxx is excused as a comedian. Cyrus' remark on ruining Radiohead was a joke by a sixteen year old kid...maybe not as funny as jokes about lesbians or doing heroin that appeal to the more jaded...but for a actor whose audience is tweenage music fans (yes they do exist) it was a humorous response at getting snubbed by a much 'cooler' musician. It is ironic that the adult world could take her rather silly remark so seriously-maybe it was because a Disney pop princess dared to think that Radiohead might extend a professional courtesy of meeting a fellow performer on an award show... the bratty audacity to want to meet the ROCK GODS in person - what were they doing slumming with the mere entertainers anyway - oh, I forgot - they're part of the music BIZness too.

the audacity was not in the fact that she asked to meet them. it was in the fact that she felt entitled to meet them. so much so that when they politely declined she threatened to ruin their career. There lies the real audacity and arrogance of a spoiled young lady. now people want to claim this was a joke. FINE, let's give her the benefice of the doubt. but if it was in fact a joke, let's also give Jamie the benefit of the doubt because his was OBVIOUSLY a joke as well.
