Dana Perino To Join Firm Led by Clinton Adviser

Wall Street Journal:

WASHINGTON -- Dana Perino, President George W. Bush's last White House press secretary, will join Clinton administration adviser Mark Penn at public-relations firm Burson-Marsteller, where she will be "chief issues counselor."

Mr. Penn, the firm's CEO, said Ms. Perino's experiences in Mr. Bush's second term make her a valuable addition to the team of battle-tested public-relations veterans he is assembling. Mr. Penn writes a "Microtrends" column for The Wall Street Journal Online.

Aren't her employers going to have to be a little careful of where they send her? If I were running a company and she (the one who presided over the press end of Bush's fall from grace and infamous for indulging his lies and stonewalling legitimate questions), I would think twice about using THAT company's services for anything. And it won't help that Penn is with them too.

So, Penn was demoted for doing work for the Colombian government? I thought it might have had something to do with the fact he ran the most ineffective campaign I have ever witnessed in my lifetime. By the end of the primaries I was pretty sure he couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel. A more honorable person would have completely foregone his fee.

2-Defending AIG can't be harder than defending Bush, so her job is easy too.

Per Rachael Maddow of MSNBC, when one (usually national and international criminals - individual or corporate) has a PR problem in the US of A, and specially in Washington-DC, they hire the public-relations firm of Burson-Marsteller. Rachael provided a list of the firm's clients, which range from dictators, deposed leaders to drug smugglers.

As "chief issue coordinator", Dana Perino is a scout for public-relations firm of Burson-Marsteller. She and Burson-Marsteller should rake in the big bucks, reeling in the businesses ranging from bankers with CDS and ill-gotten bonuses, to Blackwater, to Haliburton.

Another great example of how the Democrats and Republicans scratching each other's back for the greenbacks. Who is looking out for the taxpayers?
