Glenn Beck Parodied As The Patient Zero Of 'Obama Derangement Syndrome'

One of the areas of concern cited by Media Matters in their letter to Chris Wallace is Glenn Beck, who the organization criticizes for "engag[ing] in increasingly outrageous, demagogic, and conspiratorial rhetoric." Driving that point home for Media Matters is their hilarious mashup video which neatly summarizes Beck's "news" show -- a cable news venue in which the government is "full of vampires" who are enslaving children as a part of a one-world government scheme and where production assistants have gasoline poured on them. It's all really part of a comedy act that Glenn Beck calls "poor man's Seinfeld" and which the rest of the world refers to as "John Birch Society pamphlets shrieked aloud by a bipolar jackass."

When spontaneous combustion occurs in his lower chakras and he self emolates will be the day I regret never watching his show. Honestly, I wish he could spend some time getting some hugs and chocolate chip cookies from my grandma. That would calm and soothe his suffering.

Clearly Beck is doing some of the best comedy on television. What a loony toon. Next time I need a laugh, I'll be sure to tune in.

There is something about watching the deranged that is mesmerizing. What else can explain Beck's popularity?

He's got the best ratings of anyone on Fox News right now. More than twice Olbermann's audience. At least, so the ratings say. I was in a highway stop yesterday, and they had the t.v. set on Fox News. When I tried to change the channel, it flipped right back. I definitely think they've found ways to artificially boost their ratings.

Glenn Beck is obviously deranged. What's worse, is that the station puts this on air knowing darn well that there a many other sick individuals out there that this guy will influence. He extols paranoia as a virtue and exhibits every personality trait of a slightly schizophrenic narcissist. It would be funny if there weren't a bunch of very sick individuals out there who look to him as a leader. I'm a supporter of the 1st amendment, so we have to let him talk, but if he has just one friend in this world, would you do us all a favor and try to get this guy some help before he ends up in a straight jacket, foaming at the mouth and spending his days at Belvue?

It's interesting that he is mormon. I've heard some preachers say that this is not a true religion. If Glen Beck ran as a republican candidate for president he would not win , because the true right wing base does not consider him being a mormon as good enough.

Yes he does. I know that one of his poor children has special needs. He is a very dangerous and deranged man. I know most people watch to laugh at him but he really needs some kind of intervention and a long stay at a mental health facility.
