Halperin is a complete joke. Why would HBO choose to run with a book he had anything to do with?

Will Matt Drudge ghost write for Halperin?

I stopped reading Time because of Halpern's obvious heavy handed right-wing influence on their articles. His comments on Morning Joe show make me feel I mistakenly tuned in to Fox and Friends.

Hopefully it's a lot better than Recount. That movie was terrible.

I really like your dear leader part comments. I love when you wingnuts rant against communism but you act exactly like some third rate communist regime. No dissent in the party is tolerated. Just like you cant criticize Kim Jong Il in north korea, if your a republican you cant criticize chairman Limbaugh and instead of Pravda you have fox news. The party has you so brainwashed most of you believed a increase in the military budget was a cut and wackos are protesting taxes that just got decreased form 95% of the country. Now scurry back to right wing radio to get told what to think.

Heilemann is OK but Mark Halpern can't be trusted.

I can think of nothing quite so boring as a rehash of the 2008 election. Jeez, it is just barely over.

And it lasted for 4 years for goodness sake.

Looks like HBO is still on a decline.

I have an idea. Finish Deadwood. You dolts.

Boring? Boring?

Maybe for a republican, but as a Democrat this was the best election ever, and unfortunatly I doubt we will ever see any other election top it in press, money, voter turnout etc.

In this version, does Halperin get his wish of seeing McCain elected?

Why don't they just get the Penn-Goldfarb version. It would be equally accurate.

HBO usually produces good quality films, but after living through the 2008 election/campaigns, I am glad it is finally over and am not that interested in reliving it all. It went on a lot longer than normal elections, probably because we were all so wanting to see CHANGE that it was something we could look forward to.

Clint Eastwood for Biden and Denzil Washington for Obama. And while I'm at it - Pacino for Rahmbo.

In Halperin's version, McSame and Nanook win in a landslide, The Jeebus personally offers the invocation at the inauguration ceremony and, with a wave of the hand, erases Junior's staggering deficit. Foreign ambassadors attend, bearing gifts of incense and myrrh, and taxes on the upper one percent are reduced to zero. A good time is had by all.

In a stirring closing scene, Halperin receives the prestigious National Grammar School Fiction award.
