How Maersk Alabama's Crew Fought Off Somali Pirates

As the Maersk Alabama plowed through the glassy waters of the Indian Ocean last Wednesday morning, the cargo ship's 70-year-old electrician sat in the cafeteria with a cup of coffee, counting the minutes to breakfast.

Suddenly, the ship's alarm sounded, shattering the morning calm. The electrician rose with a start. It was, he reckoned immediately, the scenario that he'd been warned about for four months, ever since he set off aboard the Alabama into the most dangerous waters in the world.

If the international community ceased to deliver all goods to this region, it wouldn't take long for the population to deal with the pirates.

This particular crew, as well as many others, took their berths knowing that they would be delivering hunanitarian aid in the third most dangerous waters, vis a vis pirates in the world. The simplistic solutions of outsiders are unlikely to impress them.

nope, right wing extremists are redneck idiots that buy up obscenely deadly weapons to tout in their "family" communities, hoping they dont kill 30 of their neighbors with spray if they ever happen to come across a theif with a gun.
They are also, hatemongering white racists that actually make killthreats with plenty of legal/illegal weapons more or equally as powerful as domestic swat teams.

whats really funny is that ALL - 100% of Right wing Extremists with guns fantasize about some "commie threat, or terrorist A-rab" coming at em in a showdown, while they are all prepared with their foxhole filled with stuff no US citizen really needs, and blowing the He|| out of like 20 on 1 odds all by their little camo-wearing trap making selves.
like 7 yr olds playing 'guns' with real weapons & live ammo.
But the serious part is that many of these same "Patriots" fantasize about takin out the president for no good reason, just republican hate mongering with no basis at all.

Their entire angry base is like Joe the LiarPlumber's idea that he opposes tax increase for the top incomes of which he is not, the make things better and easier for the lower incomes of which he is, for the sake of party loyalty. "I Joe Plumber Demand you take more money from me, raise my costs, make my life harder, give it to yourself oh masters, & continue to exploit me as much as possible. thank you".
