Michelle Obama Repeats Another Outfit At Department Of Homeland Security (SLIDESHOW)

What did we tell you? Just this morning we commended Michelle Obama for wearing repeat outfits (see the slideshow here), and a few hours later the first lady addressed the Department of Homeland Security wearing the exact same ensemble she had worn on the campaign trail in 2008: a short-sleeved green jacket over a long-sleeved striped purple shirt. How dare she wear the same thing twice. I mean, who cares that she's giving a speech to the staff of HS to thank them for all their hardwork and to express how important the work they do is to the country. She makes a pointed effort to thank the Secret Service for putting their lives on the line everyday for her family and the Bidens, and how courageous they are and the sacrifices they make daily. She thanks them for giving up their holidays to protect her family and how she's gotten to know each of them personally and what fine men and women they are.

Too bad she had to say all of this in an outfit she wore last year, (shake head)

For a woman of Michelle's calibre to be seen wearing the same outfit more than once and to carry it off with such aplomb is empowering. Her penchant for wearing what SHE likes and not what her critics like is also empowering. She looks good, and I don't know of anyone on the planet at this time who looks better.

Women have to wear something new every single day of their lives while men get away with wearing the same boring black suits day in and day out. In trying to keep up with these standards women are further accused of being shopaholics and materialistic by the same people who expect this creativity from them.

Who made these rules, and why must we feel obligated to recognize them???

LOL. I was watching the raw footage of the Obamas with their new dog. The camera panned down and I found myself thinking, "He's been wearing the same shoes he had on during the campaign!" Of course, Laura Bush could have reworn outfits, but they were such hermits, we hardly ever saw her.

Why can't she just throw them away after wearing them once just like normal people. They make 4 mils last year so they can effort to be wasteful like most poor American. It is very sad to hear people talks bad about her regarding how she dresses. Why don't they talk about how loving, kind and a good mom she is. Please write something interesting, like how to turn this country around from this condition. Sad.

I think it's practical and sensible to see someone in the public eye repeat an outfit. Mrs. Obama is a role model and style setter, and this sends a good message, especially when we are all trying to kick the excessive consumption habit. But I still really wonder about her fashion choices. She is so beautiful and striking, but some of the things she wears look childish and thrown together. She's such a great role model, I'd like to see her look a little more grown up and more in keeping with her huge personal accomplishments, and not like she raided her pre-teen's closet.

Role model, she is. But her fashion sense is hit-or-miss. Anyway, that doesn't diminish who she is. More important are her brains and how she looks to little kids. And they love her. That is just one of her many strengths.

I am no fan of the Obama's, but making fun of her for wearing the same thing multiple times is silly at best.

I am a conservative, and as such am fiscally responsible. I wear clothes until they have just about fallen apart, and when they do fall apart, my kindly wife uses her sewing machine to mend them for me.

There is nothing wrong with not being wasteful.

News flash!!! This just in: Michelle Obama has a washing machine!!!......and perhaps access to a dry cleaner!
This is not news, just a typical woman that actually repeats clothes like a real american woman!
