Madoff's Aston Martin To Be Seized

New York Times:

The trustees liquidating Bernard L. Madoff's London affiliate have gone to federal bankruptcy court in Florida to seize a vintage British sports car that they say he bought last spring and gave to his brother, Peter, The New York Times's Diana B. Henriques reported.

They say Mr. Madoff purchased the car -- a 1964 Aston Martin DB2/4 worth hundreds of thousands of dollars -- with money improperly taken out of the London business, Madoff Securities International, in March and May of last year.

Madoff and his family, partners etc should definitely be hammered to the wall, however,
they need to get the big fish, the ones with all the Washington connections. They need to publicize every single name of those caught with untaxed income in foreign accounts as well.

Until they do this, washington dc always appears as a group of insiders, committing crime and ignoring justice for the american people with two sets of laws. ones that apply to all of us, and ones that dont apply to them.

Should anyone bother to tell the media that "Bernie Madoff as Sacrificial Lamb" just isn't cutting it?

So the guy fleeced a few rich people of a few hundred million (or is it billion?) dollars. We've got financial institutions out there who, with the able help of the Congress and the SEC and the Treasury and the Fed, just swindled the planet and are well on their way to swindling the US Treasury. Now, THAT'S a story!

It is a sexy car, I am sure. It'd be pretty cool not only to have the awesome care, but to be able to say that it was Madoff's makes it unique =P
