The Obamas finally debuted the newest addition to their family, a (possibly gay) Portuguese water dog named Bo. The highly anticipated first dog joins other first and royal pets around the world. Here is a slideshow of some other world leaders enjoying quality time with their animals.

From the photo of Bo, I'd say there are leader of the pack issues going on for that dog. Family members are going to need to assert dominance, or this is going to require a dog whisperer intervention.

Oh, so true. Dogs, like toddlers, respond well to being guided and shown what is desirable and pleasing behavior, EARNING praise (verbal and edible), thereby making punishments undesirable and unnecessary. That is discipline for dogs and children. Pulling his humans around the lawn by the leash puts Mr.Dog in charge where he shouldn't be allowed to be for a minute. The Obama family needs to train themselves pronto to be savvy dog owners. There are many excellent books.
