Yahoo! Finance:

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Yahoo Inc. is gearing up for its third round of mass layoffs in 14 months, signaling the long-slumping Internet company is still struggling to snap out of its financial malaise under a new leadership team.

The cuts will likely affect several hundred employees, a person familiar with the plan said late Tuesday, confirming a report first published on The New York Times' Web site.

Microsoft, rightly, told Yahoo to go pound sand! TheYahoo Board got rid of Yang but that hasn't helped. Carl Icahn (major Yahoo shareholder) has tried to get the talks started again but Microsoft said no deal.

I guess I won't be using Yahoo anymore...­I am watching companies that are laying people off...it's unjustified, I won't do business with them anymore...­For example Walmart made a nice profit and laid off workers in Arkansas-good jobs-thus I rarely shop there anymore.
