Foreign Policy:

As Barack Obama heads to the Summit of the Americas beginning April 17 in Trinidad and Tobago, the outlook for U.S.-Latin American relations looks brighter than it has in the last eight years. He's visiting Mexico on the way to the summit to reemphasize U.S. cooperation in combating the drug problem.

I really like the cry is always what Obama has to do, never mind what people like Chavez have to do, and that's act like a grown-up and stop the ad hominen attacks on thepresident. Show me one world leader that Obama has been less that gracious with.

He doesn't have to strike up a friendship with Chavez but the President does have to be civil. A brief handshake intended for the cameras wouldn't hurt. But I don't think its necessary for President Obama to have a serious face to face with the man.

it is called the Good Neighbor policy.

Almost exactly like President Roosevelt instituted when he came into office.

There is no excuse for American interference in the internal affairs of sovereign countries.

Roosevelt knew that. I hope President Obama knows that as well.

Chavez should start by GOING ON A DIET, and putting his foot in his mouth.
