Fox News and MySpace are expected to announce Monday a new partnership that will allow MySpace users to upload citizen journalist reports with the chance to be featured on Fox News.

The MySpace uReport community represents the first partnership between Fox News and MySpace, which are both owned by News Corporation. Fox News already uses the uReport brand for its citizen journalist coverage.

MySpace users will be able to upload videos, photos, and stories in various MySpace uReport categories — including USA, World, Entertainment, and Politics — which could then be used on Fox News or foxnews.com. Users will also be able to link to their favorite Fox News personalities' profiles.

In January, MySpace partnered with the Wall Street Journal to send one MySpace user to the World Economic Forum in Davos as a special correspondent.

It's been pushing the envelope for a while, but, now it's official: MYSPACE IS OBSOLETE.

Facebook and Twitter have been killing it slowly for God knows how long, but the team-up with Faux Noise is the final nail in the coffin. I'm sure Tom must be devastated. MySpace may have been a hit a couple of years ago, but we've moved on to bigger and better things.

"Citizen journalism" Fox style: hateful, whacked-out "show-me-his-birth-certificate" rants by wingnuts.

They really are trying to turn the tea parties into a FOX NATION revolution. Having heretofore accused HuffPo and MoveOn as being insidious., FOX is trying to mount a "grassroots" offensive of its own. Rupert will now control the wingnut contingent on every single medium. And that prospect is causing my skin to literally attempt to crawl off me at this very moment.

Honestly, Myspace is a dying site. I am barely on the site and most people and have moved on to Facebook or Twitter. Though Myspace may have started the online profile revolution, It has fallen behind Facebook. Plus most of the profiles are fake on Myspace.

Exactly what I was thinking.

It shows how behind Fox News really is. Plus...Facebook was strongly behind President Obama the whole time. I guess it really is out with the old (Fox News and MySpace) and in with the new (President Obama and Facebook).

I wonder... I tried posting for a while on FoxNation and was heavily censored. I was not vulgar or even snarky (like I often am here..). To someone who thought Sarah Palin was the savior of the party, I simply provided a direct quote of her speaking with Wolf Blitzer (incoherently) without comment. It was never posted. I presented a link of Glen Beck being a psychopath another time and was also never posted.

They report they decide. Fox is a painfully dishonest organization. Expect this venture to be the same.

What a great idea. Now every right wing n u t can put his "thoughts" on line for the whole world to see and for Fox to promote. It can only speed up the final demise of the gop party. And, maybe some of them will be ar rested. I am all for it.

I thought it would take a few years for the gop to self-destruct. I am amazed at how fast they are moving.

I think they know that what they are doing is not journalism. So why not learn from ordinary citizens ?

Wise move Faux Snooze !

What Ron Paul Revolution? You mean those 19 year olds who sit around reading Ayn Rand and touching themselves?

Fox News is right up their with the "Enquirer" and the "Star", but I guess Murdock still has some zest left for hate.

Fox News and the word journalism in the same sentence seems to be a bit of an oxymoron.

Such a blatant partnership means one thing for those of us who know the Fox agenda: MySpace will quickly become a no go area. Not through any organized effort, but because the Myspace community is much more aware than your typical Fox viewer(not to mention on average 40 years younger!)

I predict a not insignificant loss in usage during the period of introduction - and the more involvement Fox 'News' has with the site, the worse it will get.

VERY bad commercial move for MySpace - the young people of today know what's going on, and Fox, given their average viewer is 60 odd years old, are obviously thinking that a younger audience will be just as blind, bigoted and easily led.

Bad move - not to mention plainly naive!

They're only teaming up because News Corp owns them both. I doubt MySpace would be doing anything with Fox News if it was owned by anyone else.
