Palin v. Sebelius? "Team Sarah" Organizes Against Obama Pick

An online community of female supporters of Gov. Sarah Palin is launching a last minute campaign to derail the candidacy of Kathleen Sebelius for the secretary post at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Team Sarah, which was founded to support and mobilize for the McCain-Palin ticket and claims tens-of-thousands of members, blasted out a petition on Monday morning urging members to "flood the phone lines" in opposition to Sebelius' candidacy.

Sebelius's nomination is set to come to a vote before the Senate Finance Committee this Tuesday, April 21. The nomination is expected to pass through the committee and ultimately the Senate, though on Friday the terrain got a bit rougher, when ranking Republican Sen. Charles Grassley criticized the Kansas Governor for understating the amount of money she raised from doctor who performs abortions -- likely the same revelation offending the Team Sarah members.

Progressive groups have been pushing for an expeditious confirmation of Sebelius for weeks, arguing that the administration is being disadvantaged by lacking a cabinet figure to tackle a subject of such key political and economy importance (health care).

Earlier this month, a Republican Senator put a mysterious hold on the confirmation of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as Health and Human Services Secretary. It's hard to believe that while the clock ticks on fixing health care, the top leadership position in the government's health agency is left vacant. This is simply unacceptable.

The real repub sleeper here is Kay Bailey Hutchison. She been a state senator for years and a lot of Texans like her. She's going to face Pud-Head Perry in the primary for the 2010 for Governor race. If she wins, she gets to claim a couple of years of running the state's government, as well as her senate experience. She's not a loud mouth and shows a high level of control.

The Republicans are taking on a hypocritical stance - they raise fury over the abortion issue, but they don't over their guns (unbelievable!!!!!) crying that it's their right to possess same- yes, indeed, and just look at all the good that comes out of that!!! ---- and Sarah, especially, can kill animals for the sport of it, and not give it a second thought. This is not just hypocrisy, it's being very twisted - my opinion.

If they truly live by and stand behind their religion, then they should be very peace loving human beings - NOT!! They are filled with such utter resentment/anger. A true pity.

They were about as liberal and progressive as could be for thier time.Conservatives want things to remain as they are. Our forefathers wanted CHANGE, no more being ruled by a distant tyranical country.
Only about 10% were of Judeo Christian Faith(That means believing in Jesus as the Son Of God). Most were Diest and resisted organized religion.In fact that is why many left Europe. Look it up.

While I've read a lot about Palin's family, I've not yet seen any recent analysis of and reporting on the family of Kat Von Kansas. Her son is the developer of a commercial board game that takes place in a prision, it is called "Don't Drop The Soap". It is an interesting and fun game where one maneuvers the challenges of prision life, from the first blast of the cold shower to final exit; along the way, one tries to avoid dropping soap while in the shower. The game is much more interesting and fun than reading about the Palin kids.
