52-Year-Old Exotic Dancer Stabbed With Stiletto By Jealous Rival: Cops

AKRON, Ohio — Ohio police say a 52-year-old woman was attacked on her first day as an exotic dancer by a jealous co-worker wielding a stiletto heel.

Akron police Lt. Rick Edwards says the woman was assailed Friday night by a co-worker who didn't think the club needed more dancers. Police say one of the dancers took her stiletto and repeatedly struck the woman in the face as she walked into the basement dressing room.

The woman was treated at a hospital and received seven staples. She has declined to press charges against her assailant.

Police say the woman took the job because she needed the extra money. She has refused to talk to police about what happened.

P.S. Stilettos shoes got their name from the Stiletto dagger. Perhaps she was just demonstrating to the other "dancer" why this was.

Rest Homes are good recruiting stations for strippers these days. My great great grandmother was asked to become a "model" by two young guys at Village Retirement Center. She declined, but is considering a topless shower scene for a couple of thousand dollars.

I am usually the first person to start making snarky comments, particularly about people whom one shouldn't make fun of. However, in this case I won't (although it is hilarious that there is an ad for stilleto heels on this page).

The economy is actually so bad, that not only does a woman in her 50's have to resort to stripping for extra money, but another, shall we say established dancer would worry about competition.

Don't laugh, this is the sad state we're in.

Believe it or not, not everyone strips because they need to. I have a friend, late 40's, gorgeous and not in need of money by any measure - she has been stripping for the last 7 years because she get's a kick out of it. You'd never know it just talking to her, she's very intelligent, down to earth and nice, but she strips every weekend.

I think the reason the stripper is not pressing charges is that it would inovlve significant publicity, and our society still stigmatizes strippers. On the other hand, I would guess that her attacker has indeed reduced the number of dancers at the club by one, hopefully by getting herself fired..
