Well, well, I wondered when the moralistic cloak would fall from Joe's shoulders. This charade was cloaked well, but I knew he was too slippery to keep that cloak on his shoulders forever. Joe mentions that the release of the “Torture Memos” helps our enemies. Joe, please tell me how the release of those memos help them. I guess informing them of what heinous methods of torture to expect, when we get our hands on them, would help them, right. Could it be that you didn’t mean that exactly. Did you actually mean, the release of the memos allows the world to see us as lying two-faced hypocritical society cloaked in moral values and God forbid the enemies now know the tactics we use against them. I guess that’s the same kind of moralistic cloak you wear when you need a moral high ground image. The release of these memos don't help our enemies, instead it's our actions and hypocrisy that help our enemies. The release of the memos truly becomes the focal point of our hypocrisy. Does the hypocrisy and the knowledge of it concern you? Joe to close, I will restate that you mentioned that the release of the torture memos helps our enemies. Well Joe, it helps me to understand the hypocrisy and inhumane actions conducted. So Joe,I guess it could be stated that the released memos helps many people understand what took place and I guess with that said, you now consider us the enemies.

Joe Lieberman does not love America. He is a pawn for the right wing Likud party.

Joe certainly knows a lot about helping the enemy. Takes one to know one.

By "Our enemies" I guess he means everyone opposed to Bush, Cheney, McCain and Himself.

"The President of the United States as the commander in chief has the right to decide what kinds of tactics he wants to use with detainees who we believe are associated with terrorism and what kinds he does not want to use." How does this uninformed whack job get elected? This is junior high level information and reasoning. (My apologies to the junior high students who see through it.)

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Requiring air bags in cars also helped our enemies.

Go soak your head in a bucket of common sense, Joe.

It's not about our enemies. It's about us as in US and restoring our good name on the international scene.

The use of torture by the U.S. blurs the distinction between our values and those of the "enemies."

How can Lieberman condemn our enemies if he wants to become more like them?

Joe Lieberman is an ignorant man.

He supports torture. He supports the ultra-rightists in Israel. He supports more Iraq-like scenarios and wars on Iran. He is a man of many lies who is an enemy of world peace.

When is he up for re-election so we can put him out of our misery?

joe needs to apologize to the American people. These tactics were well known and documented by human rights orgs-they have been hearing it from the lawyers of detainees for years that they were tortured. no new info at all--the only thing this shows is the Joe and people like him are the real enemies of the people--the are against truthful, transparent government. They are for evade, evade, deny, deny. Cowards! If they cannot be proud of the things they do in our name--then they should not do them!

Joe Lieberman's enemies consist of the following : the Democratic grassroots, College Students, Amnesty International, MoveOn.org, Daily Kos, The New York Times etc. etc.

The Senator for Tel Aviv should emigrate to Israel and join Netanyahu's new, incoming far-right coalition Govenment. Go away Joe.

Why is it that the apologists for Bush/Cheney think that our"enemies" do not have any idea that we have tortured captives? Just like Abu Garhib, they knew about it before the American public knew. That is why the contractors were murdered and mutilated. It was in retaliation for what WE were doing. Anyone who believes that torture serves any purpose other than to prove the cowardice of the torturer is just kidding themselves.
