Susan Boyle Staked Out By Her Home (PHOTOS)

How famous is Britain's YouTube sensation Susan Boyle? Her home is staked out with photographers and journalists hoping for an interview, nine days after she belted out a song on "Britain's Got Talent" and shot to superstardom.

On Tuesday Getty took a new batch of photos of her in Blackburn, West Lothian in Scotland, including shots of one journo trying to get a quote.

This is so typical of the tabloid press. She's currently in their sights and they will hound her. They seem to feel the need to tell us every bleeping thing about her life. Just leave the woman alone, why can't you? The current obsession with celebrities, and wannabe celebrities is beyond nauseating. The tabloids are creating a phenom but watch them turn away and run if Susan Boyle loses in the next round. She's nothing more than a 3-day wonder to them and they have the power to destroy her life.

No, she couldn't but she could be filling theaters on Broadway and in London and concert halls around the world. If this one song is truly indicative of her ability, she has extraordinary feeling for the material and a wonderful voice. The key is the way that the audience responded to her performance. That's star quality... can't fake it; can't buy it; gotta have it. She's got it.

I haven't been floored like that by an unknown voice over television since the first time Barbara Streisand appeared on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. Susan Boyle is brilliant but that's still a long way from "singing at the Met."

I like her outfit. And her hairstyle is cool! The woman has fierce determination on her face...and a sense of humor shows through, too. She'll need it with what she's facing. Maybe it's good that she hasn't been "discovered" until this late age---she may have the wisdom and maturity to take the ride and not let it destroy her. I say "God bless her!"

I agree with "Promise". Most importantly, I find the critics very cynical when they criticize her for the "song" she picked, or suggest that we fell in love with her because of her "looks". When Susan opens her mouth, no matter the song, no matter the outward appearance, her voice brings tears to my eyes. She is enormously talented and gifted. And, equally important she is entitled to any makeover she chooses because of her self-confidence and humor. No matter what she does or what she wears, there is nothing "false" or made -up about this women. and her talent.

It's true, it is her voice that people are in love with. I heard it first over the radio, on the Ron Reagan Show. He hyped it a bit before broadcasting the clip, and I was ready for something quite boring - I'm not a Broadway musical-type fan. But four seconds into it, I was so mesmerized I didn't move until the end. I didn't know what she looked like then, and I didn't care.
